Lane County:
On June 30, 2026, Deputy Evan Meyers of the Lane County Sheriff's Office, one of the deputies who visit the Siltcoos Work Center daily, made a "joke" to me about having access to a high-powered rifle through his partner's vehicle that would be stored there overnight. Something felt off about it. I turned my camera on, walked up to him, and addressed it on the spot. The exchange is recorded. In it, I inform him of my open confrontation with the state, tell him we cannot joke like that, and end the matter respectfully. The recording was preserved the same day: https://youtube.com/shorts/ZxNt_7rJJjY
I documented it publicly that same afternoon, at 2:44 PM:
"Documenting contemporaneously: a law enforcement officer with access to where I live made a comment today that crossed a serious line, involving a firearm. It was presented as a joke, but this is too similar to what happened on March 18, 2025, to be left alone. I informed him about my dispute with the state and that we cannot joke around like that. He was respectful and I consider it the end of the matter."

What I did not know on June 30, and learned on September 3 when Oregon State Police produced its file, is that Deputy Meyers's office had by then been holding SA Oliver's March 27 email for three months: my name, my date of birth, my driver's license number, my residence, my schedule, and the words "multiple veil threats" — in a file whose own report concludes I made no direct threats and committed no crimes. A deputy whose office held that email joked to my face about a rifle. I recorded my answer within minutes and published it within hours, before I knew any of this.
One more thing belongs on the record. The next time I saw Deputy Meyers after June 30, I said something dumb, trying to be personable. I owned it publicly the same day, at 3:36 PM on August 30, again before I knew what his office held:

That is what contemporaneous documentation looks like: recorded at the moment, published the same day, timestamped by a third party, unedited since. If that remark, or any other mundane moment from your daily contacts with me, ever surfaces as a characterization of me, the record will show exactly when it happened, exactly what I did about it, and exactly what your offices were holding while they smiled at my gate. It will stand as proof that Lane County took an active role in this retaliation.
Every record of those contacts is within my pending request to Lane County, P015875-090926, and under the preservation demands your offices have received. This letter, like the rest of this matter, is published at oprdvolunteerabuse.org.
