[0:00] guys I was recording a video and then I
[0:03] was trying to show you something and it
[0:04] had my address on it and I I almost kept
[0:07] recording and then I thought you just
[0:09] don't know who's out there right even
[0:11] though I won't be here long I thought I
[0:14] better start over I better just start
[0:16] over so
[0:18] um all my stuff's here everything's come
[0:21] from
[0:22] Amazon um today and yesterday I got all
[0:25] my solar stuff it's here I'm going to
[0:27] show that to you it's really cool
[0:31] um I'm just feeling overwhelmed though
[0:33] my house is full of stuff boxes
[0:36] everywhere RV stuff everywhere you know
[0:38] that's got to go out to the RV clear
[0:40] some space I got a lot of stuff to sell
[0:42] you know like my couches my my beds my
[0:45] my game consoles like you know just so
[0:47] much stuff and then just it's I got to
[0:50] get out of this place I'm I'm getting my
[0:52] RV tomorrow and I just as soon as I can
[0:54] I'm getting out of here um but man
[0:57] there's just stuff everywhere I can
[0:58] barely walk around kind of I'm not
[1:01] bragging I swear to God I'm not happy
[1:04] about how much money I've had to spend
[1:05] to do this part I'm really not
[1:08] like I you guys will get to know me and
[1:12] I don't like carrying balances on my
[1:14] credit cards like I always keep it under
[1:16] 5% like my total credit limit keep that
[1:19] under 5% cuz that's best for your credit
[1:22] like I'll tell you guys little tips like
[1:24] that along the way I guess cuz I I
[1:26] really really got a very good score over
[1:28] a couple of years of just search and
[1:31] doing all the things you know that's how
[1:33] come I was able to finance this
[1:35] honestly um so yeah let me just show you
[1:38] the solar it's big it's a little too
[1:41] big so those are two different units and
[1:43] they can stack on top of each other
[1:46] thankfully this is a battery and I don't
[1:50] know what you call that alternating
[1:51] current maybe it's got lots of cool
[1:54] plugs on it normal plugs here this one
[1:57] is your camper 30
[2:00] amps um I don't know what you plug that
[2:03] into but I'll find out and it's got usba
[2:07] a ports and only one USBC which is kind
[2:10] of sad cuz C is my favorite it's kind of
[2:12] universal these days I mean a is twoo
[2:15] but okay so those ones are blue those
[2:17] ones are white these ones will charge
[2:19] way slower in case you guys don't know
[2:21] white is bad it's just they're real weak
[2:24] blue is blue used to be fastest you can
[2:28] actually get them in red now red is like
[2:31] just you know beyond ridiculous or you
[2:34] get USBC which is better than all of
[2:36] them you can see that because it's
[2:37] telling you the Watts
[2:38] here um cigarette
[2:42] lighter I have no idea what that is so
[2:46] these are all plugs and then somehow you
[2:48] can hook it up to your camper awesome
[2:51] the battery like I assume this can be
[2:53] hooked up to the battery and you
[2:55] can add more batteries if you need to so
[3:00] just a
[3:01] couple um ports
[3:04] here which is interesting I guess the
[3:06] battery Al like I don't know how that
[3:08] really works
[3:09] honestly and
[3:11] then very high quality guys really nice
[3:15] like I can see why everybody's using
[3:17] blue ID and up here wireless charging
[3:20] very cool and then some stuff on the
[3:22] sides that I don't really know what that
[3:24] stuff is I got a lot of reading to do
[3:27] very high quality I'm sure this is going
[3:28] to work great now I bought these as a
[3:31] package deal on Amazon so I got those
[3:33] two things plus a solar panel and this
[3:35] is how big the solar panel is it's very
[3:38] big you know and I bought a second one
[3:43] cuz I'm
[3:44] stupid um they were on sale yesterday
[3:48] and I was like well I know I'm going to
[3:49] end up needing it cuz I just I know I am
[3:52] I mean maybe I get lucky and I can
[3:54] actually put my desktop on this if that
[3:56] were possible I would be the happiest
[3:57] person on Earth I truly would be so
[4:00] so I don't know I still think that's
[4:03] going to be hard so we'll I'll find out
[4:06] I guess I'm going to try let's put it
[4:07] that way I'm going to try um so anyways
[4:11] they were on sale on
[4:13] Amazon for 25% off and I thought okay
[4:16] well if they're on sale for that like I
[4:18] better get it now like just just get it
[4:21] but here's my concern obviously space
[4:24] like this and weight right so um dang
[4:29] that's heavy
[4:30] wow that is really
[4:32] heavy wonder how much that weighs those
[4:34] other things are heavy too but at least
[4:35] they
[4:36] have handles on it maybe this does too I
[4:39] don't know it's I haven't even looked at
[4:41] it yet but it's really cool though
[4:43] really
[4:44] pretty um I guess I'll show you what
[4:46] else I got but I this video really was
[4:48] just about the solar it was like oh my
[4:50] God like how am I going to fit this in
[4:52] the camper I might have to get well I
[4:54] only have a couch in there I don't even
[4:55] have a
[4:56] table I would hate to get rid of my
[4:58] couch what do you you guys
[5:00] think I might have to honest to God I
[5:03] might have to I'll just sit on my bed
[5:04] why not I've done that for years like
[5:06] the times I've lived at my parents house
[5:08] or whatever I you know I was in my
[5:09] bedroom I would just sit on my bed I'd
[5:11] program on my bed all day long
[5:15] um all right anyways we can decide that
[5:17] later right so here's all the stuff for
[5:20] my camper um some of this I showed you
[5:22] yesterday um but it was in a video you
[5:24] guys some of you probably didn't watch
[5:26] cuz I labeled it like this is about
[5:28] nothing and it really was I was just
[5:29] testing out my GoPro so chocks
[5:34] and balancers right these are also
[5:39] balancers and or yeah somebody on a
[5:42] channel recommended that you get both
[5:44] and I don't know why I don't know what
[5:45] I'm doing guys I don't know what I'm
[5:46] doing so I got both um just in case I
[5:50] love that it comes in a case like this
[5:52] that'll make it very
[5:53] convenient um I told you that I am
[5:57] terrible at distances so I didn't know
[5:59] which of those I needed 2550 FL I
[6:03] figured if the Camper's behind my house
[6:05] and I want to PL it up to water I better
[6:07] get both just until I
[6:08] know and just one of these extension
[6:12] cords 50
[6:14] ft guys this stuff is so expensive it is
[6:17] ridiculously expensive like you're not
[6:20] going to be happy when you start buying
[6:22] this
[6:23] stuff um electrical adapter
[6:27] cord um remember what this
[6:30] was oh that's what plugs into your house
[6:34] okay simple extension cord plugs into
[6:37] that um and the extension cord plugs
[6:39] into the RV right so I I'm trying to get
[6:42] used to saying camper camper camper
[6:44] Camper RV I don't know it just sounds
[6:46] weird I just want to say camper what do
[6:48] you guys think
[6:50] camper
[6:52] um so water filters that plugs in
[6:56] outside like to a water hose or whatever
[7:00] pressure regulator and RV guard it looks
[7:03] like they're a pretty good company right
[7:04] so I was trying to get their stuff when
[7:06] I
[7:06] could um you needed that because you
[7:10] okay so you plug the you plug this
[7:13] into the you know whatever it's called
[7:17] you plug that into the water and then
[7:20] that I think and then this I might have
[7:24] it backwards I think I have it backwards
[7:27] I don't know I'll find out and then this
[7:30] thing is so cool because when you're
[7:33] trying to park you just put this piece
[7:35] right into um the middle of your camper
[7:37] this is up front with you and if you're
[7:39] off balance this will be in red or
[7:41] yellow and then it will match that so
[7:43] they mirror each other very cool oh I
[7:46] have some bad
[7:48] news this is how Amazon sent me this
[7:51] okay so first of
[7:53] all um I bought this one first the RV
[7:56] Circ and I couldn't return it fast
[7:58] enough so I just got sent it back it's a
[7:59] surge protector it is from car
[8:04] tech and I saw a video that
[8:07] said he regretted it he said getting the
[8:10] cheaper one was a mistake and I can
[8:12] actually see why now because look at
[8:13] them compare the sizes like clearly one
[8:15] is better than the other and he said
[8:18] that um he regretted it he said that's
[8:21] one thing you don't want to go cheap on
[8:23] so the other one was like twice as much
[8:25] but look at the Box they sent it to me
[8:26] in it was clearly returned or something
[8:29] something like I ain't trusting that I'm
[8:31] already returning that one but that's
[8:33] the one I want to
[8:35] get I was real disappointed about that
[8:38] guys real disappointed I mean from
[8:40] Amazon that's I don't think that's ever
[8:42] happened to me
[8:43] before um oh yeah a little
[8:47] piece I
[8:49] think what was this for I don't know
[8:52] guys I had a reason I have a reason for
[8:54] all of this I
[8:56] promise um so that's basically it for
[8:58] the RV stuff but then you know I'm
[9:00] actually turning into guys I love this
[9:03] so much this is so fun I don't know why
[9:05] it just is um that I think it's like
[9:09] becoming a hobby for me like um
[9:13] recording videos and like I want to get
[9:15] way better at this is just me talking
[9:17] which is you know I want to get way
[9:20] better at it so I'm just getting stuck
[9:22] for that right
[9:24] so today
[9:27] um so I got some charger a charger and
[9:30] some batteries for my
[9:33] GoPros these are going to hook up like
[9:35] so I have two one for my Jeep one for my
[9:37] RV so that I can hook up a GoPro like
[9:39] directly onto my
[9:41] windshield this has got a better mic on
[9:43] it so and I know I talk like you know I
[9:46] tend to talk I'm soft spoken so that
[9:49] should help with that I think I'm hoping
[9:52] and then two batteries one for each of
[9:53] my GoPros that way I can just press a
[9:55] button and it will start
[9:58] recording um this goes
[10:01] to this goes to the solar stuff
[10:05] like yeah there's a lot of that like
[10:08] I've just got it all over the place I
[10:10] mean I mean Hello
[10:12] um so that's basically it except I got
[10:15] these books I haven't even looked at
[10:16] them yet but I want to tell you about
[10:18] this so what I did I thought about
[10:23] um just trying to find something over
[10:25] here just give me a sec okay so what I
[10:27] did was I was trying I want to
[10:30] record um my Adventures out there I want
[10:32] to know where I'm staying so maybe I
[10:35] stayed at Walmart one night right um I'm
[10:38] going to record that maybe I'm going to
[10:40] wherever I am every time I go somewhere
[10:42] new I want to record that now I really
[10:45] like this one it's so nice but it's
[10:49] obviously meant for people who are not
[10:52] full-timing you know because there's
[10:54] only like maybe 16 there's multiple
[10:57] Pages for each trip so you know there's
[11:00] maybe like
[11:01] 16 trips that you could put in here um
[11:05] because here's where you put your
[11:06] Campground information well if you're
[11:08] were staying in a campground obviously I
[11:11] thought about this one date start end
[11:14] didn't I think that's for mileage I
[11:16] don't know but that didn't just it just
[11:17] didn't seem right to me I want to put
[11:19] the dates that I am somewhere neither of
[11:21] those worked
[11:22] okay and so I ended up buying like
[11:26] somebody is making these so and I
[11:29] thought and they were cheap I didn't
[11:31] expect them to be super see look at that
[11:33] just one page for each one so that's
[11:36] perfect that is
[11:37] perfect um I didn't know what the
[11:39] camping Journal was so it just looks
[11:41] like that actually okay um because okay
[11:45] and I got a hiking
[11:47] Journal I just I just want these things
[11:50] because I'm going to be on the road I'm
[11:51] not going to be watching television I'm
[11:53] not going to be doing a lot of things
[11:55] that I do in my life now I'm going to be
[11:57] doing a lot more writing and stuff
[11:59] hiking log
[12:02] book so got that mileage log
[12:07] book much better right way better see I
[12:11] can even put my well yeah yeah yeah
[12:13] perfect this is perfect actually this
[12:15] one right here is perfect vehicle
[12:18] maintenance log book so I want to take
[12:21] very good care of my
[12:23] camper um and I'm going to do my best
[12:25] I'll tell you that
[12:27] much oh
[12:29] just one step closer right
[12:31] guys I um pick it up in the morning and
[12:36] start moving the stuff into the
[12:38] camper start living in it I'm going to
[12:41] live in it um with my
[12:44] cats I guess I should think about that a
[12:46] little bit right um I mean they're going
[12:49] to be living in it soon so I got to get
[12:51] them used to
[12:54] it like I'll acclimate them I won like
[12:56] just keep them in there from day one I'm
[12:58] just going to take take them there let
[12:59] you know spend some time in there with
[13:01] me and then I'll bring them back in the
[13:02] house and I'll do that every day for
[13:04] like a week or
[13:05] two what I want to do is move or leave I
[13:09] want to be done I want to be out of here
[13:11] by my birthday and I don't mind sharing
[13:13] when my birthday is it's April
[13:15] 11th
[13:18] um that's my goal I would I I hope that
[13:21] I can meet it because it's not a lot of
[13:23] time it's like a month a little less
[13:26] than a
[13:27] month but I'm going to try really hard
[13:31] to be ready by then so I've got a lot of
[13:33] plans to keep making which I'll keep you
[13:35] guys updated
[13:36] about and just just so much to do just
[13:40] so much work and then I'm out of here
[13:45] I'm going to make a list of all the
[13:46] places I want to visit and then start
[13:49] making a plan about where I'll be too
[13:51] and I'll share that with you once I know
[13:54] I I I found a place nearby like you know
[13:57] do some trial runs first like just get
[14:00] out there go to a campground just cuz
[14:02] it's easy
[14:05] um you know all of that just so much
[14:08] guys I can't wait um I I'll talk to you
[14:10] guys soon all right you guys have a good
[14:12] day I will see you tomorrow when I pick
[14:14] up my camper

Narrative

He started recording and then stopped. Somewhere in the frame — held up to the lens, meant to be shown — was his address, and he had almost let it stand. He caught it. You just don't know who's out there. So he deleted the take and began again from the top, in a house that had stopped being a house and become a staging yard: boxes from Amazon stacked across the floor from two days of deliveries, cabling coiled where furniture used to sit, solar units and hoses and log books occupying the walking space between rooms. He filmed handheld, turning in the narrow lanes left between his own inventory, and told the camera he was overwhelmed. Then he showed them the solar anyway, because that was what the video was for.

The panel came out first, or nearly — two stackable units, a battery, and a face full of ports he narrated one by one with the exact confidence he had and no more. He knew USB port classes cold: white is weak, blue was the fast one, red is beyond ridiculous, C is better than all of them and there is only one of them here, which is a little sad. The wattage readout told him what he wanted to know. Then he reached the thirty-amp connector and the cigarette lighter socket and the side panels, and the knowledge simply stopped. I don't know what you plug that into but I'll find out. I have no idea what that is. I've got a lot of reading to do. He said it plainly, without apology and without performance, the way a person says it when the not-knowing is a schedule item rather than a wound. He had bought a second solar panel — twenty-five percent off, yesterday — because he knew he would need it, and he called himself stupid for it while explaining precisely why it was the right buy. Then he lifted it. Dang, that's heavy. Wow, that is really heavy. Weight and volume: the two constraints that would decide everything downstream.

He did not want to talk about the money, and then he talked about it. Not bragging, he said — twice, then a third time — I'm not happy about how much money I've had to spend to do this part. He keeps his utilization under five percent of total limit, always, because that is what builds a score, and the score over a couple of years of doing all the things is the reason a camper could be financed at all. The discipline was the instrument. He offered the tip to the viewers the way a man passing through a door holds it for whoever is behind him, then went straight back to complaining, correctly, that RV supplies are ridiculously expensive and nobody warns you.

The gear inventory ran in the order it lay on the floor. Chocks and levelers, and a second set of levelers because someone on a channel said get both and he doesn't know why — I don't know what I'm doing, guys — so he bought both. Twenty-five-foot and fifty-foot water hoses, because he is terrible at distances and the camper would be sitting behind the house and he would rather own the answer than guess it. Filter, pressure regulator, and an honest admission that he might have the plug order backwards and would find out. A leveling indicator that mirrors itself front to back, red and yellow, which delighted him. And then the surge protector — the expensive one, the one a reviewer said was the single thing not to cheap out on — arriving in a box that had obviously been opened and shipped back out. He held the two units side by side, the cheap one he was returning and the good one he could no longer trust, and said he was disappointed, real disappointed, that Amazon of all things had done that to him.

Somewhere past the hardware the video became something else. I'm actually turning into — guys, I love this so much, this is so fun, I don't know why it just is. Chargers and spare batteries for two GoPros, one for the Jeep and one for the camper, mounted to windshields so a single button press starts the record. A better microphone, because he is soft-spoken and knows it. He wanted to get way better at this — at just talking, at being the person in front of the lens — and named it out loud as a hobby he had not expected to acquire. The documentation was not going to be a byproduct of the departure. It was going to be one of the loads the camper carried.

Then the log books, which he had bought and had not yet opened. He worked through them on camera, testing each against a life he had not started living. The nice one was for people who take sixteen trips, several pages each, with a field for campground information — built for vacations, not for full-timing. The second had start and end dates that were probably mileage and just didn't feel right. The third, cheap, made by somebody out there filling a gap, gave one page per entry, and he said perfect four times looking at it. A hiking log. A mileage log. A vehicle maintenance log, because he intends to take very good care of the camper and said so as a promise. He was building a record format for a life whose shape he could not yet see, on the reasoning that out there he would not be watching television, he would be writing.

He closed on logistics and on the cats. Pickup in the morning; then hauling boxes out of the house and into the camper and beginning to live in it. The cats would ride along from day one — carried out, kept with him a while, carried back, every day for a week or two, until the new container read as home to them too. Couches, beds, game consoles: all of it still standing behind him, all of it to be sold. Trial runs first at a campground nearby, because it's easy. A list of places to make, and a plan to share once he knew it. And the date, which he did not mind giving: April 11th, his birthday, a little under a month, not a lot of time. That's my goal. Then he said goodnight to the viewers and promised he would see them tomorrow, when he picked up the camper.

Summary

rswfire records a video from his house, restarting an earlier take after noticing his address was visible on screen. He states he won't be at the location long but chose to re-record rather than broadcast the address.

He describes the house as full of Amazon deliveries — RV supplies and a solar package (two stackable units, a battery, an inverter with 30-amp camper plug, USB-A/USB-C ports, wireless charging, plus two solar panels, the second bought on a 25% sale). He notes the units' weight and size and raises space constraints in the camper, considering removing the couch and working from the bed as he has done before.

He walks through the remaining gear: chocks, levelers, a leveling system with a mirrored in-cab display, 25- and 50-foot water hoses, extension cord, adapter, water filter, and pressure regulator. He reports returning a surge protector that arrived in damaged packaging, and states he intends to rebuy the more expensive model based on a reviewer's recommendation.

He addresses spending directly, stating he keeps credit utilization under 5% and used his credit score to finance the purchase, and that he is not pleased with the cost.

He shows purchased log books — camping, hiking, mileage, vehicle maintenance — selecting one-page-per-entry formats suited to full-timing. He states he picks up the camper the next morning, plans to acclimate his cats gradually, and sets a departure goal of April 11th, his birthday.

Environment

Interior of a house being emptied — floor and surfaces occupied by shipping boxes and unpacked equipment delivered from Amazon over the preceding two days. rswfire is filming handheld amid stacked solar units, cabling, hoses, and log books, with limited walking space between them.

The recording is a YouTube-format direct-address video, one of a running series. A camper is staged for pickup the following morning; the house behind it still holds furniture, beds, and game consoles marked for sale. Date is 2024-03-07, roughly a month ahead of a stated April 11 departure target.

Substrate

This is procurement-phase infrastructure work: the material base of a mobile, off-grid life is being assembled and inventoried on camera before it is operational. rswfire holds the position of a competent systems builder operating in an unfamiliar domain — he states plainly what he does not yet know about power, water, and towing hardware while systematically acquiring redundancy against that uncertainty. The house and its contents are being dissolved into liquidity and cargo; the camper is being constituted as the new load-bearing container for both living and documentation.
