[0:00] guys this is so hard this is my third
[0:02] take and I didn't want to do that but
[0:04] this is really
[0:06] hard I keep getting way off on a tangent
[0:09] about my sleeping patterns which you
[0:12] guys don't care about so it's 9:00 in
[0:15] the morning good morning happy
[0:18] Tuesday the cats are up and about and
[0:21] playing already so you might hear them
[0:23] in the
[0:25] backgrounds I'm still waking up a little
[0:28] bit
[0:31] I might not do this every day or I might
[0:33] it's just good practice for
[0:37] me so I need to clean myself up today I
[0:40] need to shave and maybe even shave my
[0:43] hair a little bit I did that the other
[0:44] day I don't know if any of you noticed
[0:45] like I shave the sides and
[0:49] what I don't think I did a very good job
[0:52] like at all like if you could see the
[0:54] back it's probably really uneven and
[0:55] stuff that's something you might want to
[0:57] know about me is I don't go to a
[0:59] hairstyle I'm just going you'll see me
[1:01] shave my hair every once in a while
[1:04] just you know down to half an inch and
[1:07] just easy
[1:10] maintenance um so
[1:13] I yeah I just feel like this could be
[1:16] good practice like I I'll get better at
[1:18] it if I just keep doing it so that's
[1:20] what I'm trying to
[1:22] do I woke up a little bit afraid today
[1:27] so I really wanted to share that
[1:31] it's such a big change what I'm
[1:34] doing that I mean I've been super
[1:37] excited I think you guys know that and I
[1:40] am right now but I woke up feeling some
[1:43] anxiety today just fear not really
[1:46] anxiet to
[1:50] fear but I think that's passing
[1:53] now it's just scary it is such a big
[1:56] change to be
[1:57] doing oh and I actually was
[2:01] thinking you might not want to take my
[2:04] advice and just go out west where it
[2:06] might be easier to learn this stuff I
[2:09] think because I'm
[2:13] so because I'm anxious about it before
[2:15] I've even started like before I'm out
[2:18] there I think you should probably go
[2:20] somewhere you really love like just go
[2:23] to the place that you love the most and
[2:26] spend time there because you want it to
[2:29] be a good experience I saw a a post last
[2:32] night from someone
[2:34] who she wants to give up after 3 weeks
[2:39] and I don't know any of her
[2:41] circumstances I don't know if they're
[2:43] related
[2:45] but I think that you should definitely
[2:48] go somewhere you love just so that you
[2:50] have a good start and a good memory
[2:52] getting
[2:56] started so that's what I'm going to do
[2:58] I'm going to think about it cuz there's
[2:59] lots of places I love it doesn't you
[3:01] know like I could go to the Natural
[3:03] Bridge I know they have campgrounds I
[3:05] don't know about if they what their RV
[3:07] situations like at
[3:09] all I don't even know if I've ever seen
[3:11] one there but they do have a couple
[3:14] campgrounds I think there are some like
[3:16] they might just
[3:17] be not part of the state park system
[3:20] might be like private owners or
[3:22] something like
[3:23] that so I'm going to look into
[3:28] that um I got a GoPro
[3:31] today can't wait to open that
[3:34] up um might seem a little bit silly to
[3:37] have multiple cameras but I want to put
[3:39] this on my the vehicle I'm driving
[3:42] whichever one I'm driving just put it up
[3:45] on the windshield so it's real easy to
[3:47] record that
[3:48] way and maybe I'll find other uses for
[3:51] it
[3:52] too um I spent a lot of money on Amazon
[3:55] last night a lot and it's all stuff I
[3:58] knew I would need
[4:01] well it's all stuff that I wanted to
[4:04] have like most of it stuff I knew I
[4:07] would need so I was expecting like I
[4:09] bought a blue WTI finally I I I settled
[4:11] on a solar power system it'll be here in
[4:14] a couple days
[4:16] hopefully yeah so that I can you know
[4:19] just so that I can put that that stuff
[4:21] in my camper when it gets when I get it
[4:23] Friday and then
[4:25] just get a better feel for my energy
[4:29] requirement
[4:30] you know but then there were some things
[4:32] that definitely weren't like
[4:34] requirements like I got a drone so I got
[4:38] my brother a
[4:39] drone um for Christmas and he seemed to
[4:43] really like it so I got the same one and
[4:45] it's really nice never used one before
[4:50] but I thought you know I really want
[4:51] that because of what I'm doing I'm going
[4:54] to be out there in the Parks and stuff
[4:56] and I just would love to be able to take
[4:59] really cool cool shots you know pictures
[5:01] and video of that and so I can do that
[5:03] with a drone and I also had another idea
[5:05] for it you can tell me if this is
[5:08] practical or not I don't
[5:10] know um what if I could dock that thing
[5:13] on the top of my camper you know just
[5:16] park it
[5:17] there and I could be in my camper and
[5:21] maybe there's a situation going on
[5:23] outside and I want to check out what's
[5:25] going on and I just you know call up my
[5:27] drone and go and check it out like and
[5:30] then just park it back on our I think
[5:31] that would be awesome like that would be
[5:33] so cool I think I saw that in a TV show
[5:36] or yeah like a TV show or something
[5:39] once um not with an RV but you know just
[5:43] similar circumstances or something so
[5:47] might try to do that I do have like I
[5:51] said in another video I've got some
[5:53] external cameras coming I got four I
[5:56] might send two of them back I just
[5:58] really wanted to
[6:00] um get a sense for the angles like I'm
[6:04] going to probably like the way I'm
[6:05] thinking about it is I'll put two on
[6:07] each side facing different directions
[6:09] it's kind of how I do it at my house
[6:10] like you know each window it's facing a
[6:12] different
[6:13] way
[6:15] um I don't know maybe if you put them in
[6:17] the center you wouldn't need to do that
[6:19] like I'll experiment with it for sure
[6:21] and
[6:22] then cuz you know they're not cheap and
[6:25] I want to save as much money as I
[6:27] can so there you know
[6:32] um I'm excited to see what that's like
[6:34] cuz I think it'll be cool and then
[6:36] another thing I got
[6:38] was um another dash cam so I wanted to
[6:42] and there's a couple reasons for this um
[6:45] I like having the protection that it
[6:47] provides like I don't know if protection
[6:50] is the right word but it's just it's
[6:53] evidence if something happens on the
[6:55] road you've got it on camera so whatever
[6:58] anyone wants to say about about a
[6:59] situation you've got it on camera if you
[7:02] weren't at fault that camera's going to
[7:04] help you out a lot so and if finding an
[7:07] RV and I was thinking about it if I'm
[7:10] driving down the
[7:12] road and let's say something happens and
[7:16] suddenly my hitch comes undone and my
[7:18] Jeep stops itself on the
[7:21] highway and then somebody gets into an
[7:24] accident with my Jeep you know they they
[7:26] run into
[7:27] it um
[7:31] I mean I guess that puts them at fault
[7:32] automatically because they're the ones
[7:34] behind and it's obvious that they're
[7:36] tailgating if that happens but you know
[7:39] I just think it's nice to have that on
[7:41] camera you know on video so there's just
[7:45] no dispute yeah my Jeep came undone I'm
[7:48] not you know let's find out why that
[7:50] happened but they were following way too
[7:53] close and you know so I think they'd be
[7:56] responsible for that not sure but
[7:59] anyways I just like the idea of having
[8:01] cameras anyways
[8:04] so the dash cam I got has there's two
[8:08] well it's got four cameras in it but two
[8:11] devices one goes in the
[8:13] windshield so it points out towards the
[8:16] road but then there's one that's
[8:17] pointing towards you and then there's
[8:20] one that goes in the back and it's the
[8:22] same situation I'm we just going to put
[8:23] it in the back
[8:25] window I looked at one of my videos just
[8:28] you know to refresh
[8:30] my memory of how it looks and you know
[8:33] and that Windows just it looks perfect
[8:36] to me I think it'd be perfect in that
[8:37] window and that and it'll just point out
[8:39] towards the back of the RV and it'll be
[8:42] looking over the Jeep
[8:43] or you know if you know even when the
[8:46] Jeep's not I mean it just it's pointing
[8:49] backwards and then it also points
[8:50] forward that one's you know kind of
[8:52] pointless in my situation but you know
[8:55] they've been making them basically for
[8:57] like uber driers stuff like that so
[9:01] um you know so they can protect
[9:04] themselves I think it's pretty
[9:06] cool
[9:08] so see was there anything else
[9:12] um just feel like I spent a lot of money
[9:14] in Amazon
[9:18] yesterday um I mean there are other
[9:21] things I got like I got you know finally
[9:23] got my chocks and and the balancing
[9:26] things like just the stuff I think I
[9:29] really need oh yeah and I got a you know
[9:32] I got a surge protector and a long
[9:35] extension
[9:36] cable and a converter from 30 amps cuz
[9:40] my RV is 30 amps to I think it's called
[9:43] 110 volts which is your house like so I
[9:47] can plug it into the
[9:49] house
[9:51] um I don't know how much I'll do that
[9:54] because the idea of you know being in
[9:59] my driveway
[10:01] is get used to it but you know I'm not
[10:05] going to be hooked up to somebody's
[10:06] house when I'm out there
[10:09] so um that might not
[10:13] be you know I'm not duplicating The
[10:16] Experience I'm going to have out there
[10:17] if I do that so but you know you want to
[10:22] you know I'm probably going to do it at
[10:24] first maybe I'll the first week I'll do
[10:25] that and then and you want to have that
[10:28] stuff anyway place in case you end up at
[10:30] a campground obious not the 110 volt
[10:33] thing but you want a surge
[10:35] protector maybe you need an extension
[10:37] cord to get to sign don't know so just
[10:40] basic things like that and you know the
[10:43] chalks and the
[10:44] bouncers and and I'll show you the stuff
[10:46] but I got I thought this was pretty
[10:49] cool
[10:51] um there's it's like a little Bluetooth
[10:54] device you put this thing right in the
[10:55] center of your camper while you're
[10:57] driving you know
[10:59] when you're about to park right so you
[11:01] just put it in the
[11:02] middle and then it's got the smaller
[11:05] unit that's just kind of next to you and
[11:07] it shows you how balanced you are in
[11:09] four different angles which like that's
[11:12] cool like might make things a little
[11:15] easier it wasn't very expensive I don't
[11:18] I don't it wasn't very expensive I
[11:19] probably wouldn't have got it
[11:24] um so yeah I um there was one other
[11:28] thing
[11:30] I was thinking about it in my head I I
[11:31] was talking and now I've forgotten what
[11:33] it
[11:37] was so yeah
[11:42] um let me see
[11:46] here it's just
[11:49] um I mean it'll come to me I'm sorry it
[11:53] was just one other thing and actually
[11:54] was kind of a big deal just drawing a
[11:57] blank right now you know let me just PA
[11:58] pauses and think about it of course tire
[12:02] monitoring pressure system I bought
[12:05] one
[12:06] so that was kind of hard actually to
[12:09] figure out um I got a tire minder I
[12:12] think it's called like Tire minder I 10
[12:15] or something like that it comes with
[12:18] 10 I don't know I I'm going to um what
[12:22] are those called I mean you connect them
[12:24] to your tires I forget what they're
[12:26] called there's 10 of them I only need s
[12:30] wait no actually guys I got the one
[12:31] that's only gives you six so there's
[12:34] different packages I got the one that
[12:35] gives you six
[12:37] so it'll but you can connect more to it
[12:40] like this unit you can connect up to 20
[12:42] tires I mean wow what is that like a a
[12:45] semi I mean I don't know
[12:47] what um so I'll connect the six to my RV
[12:51] and
[12:52] then
[12:54] so they have two different
[12:57] kinds my I can't even you know what what
[13:00] are they called like anyways like
[13:02] there's two different kinds one is brass
[13:05] and one is aluminum I think and so you
[13:08] have to get the right kind to put into
[13:11] your
[13:12] vehicle that's weird oh I'm losing power
[13:15] here guys like a lot of power at
[13:20] 5% oh that's
[13:22] funny okay so this is going to probably
[13:26] yeah mess up the balance I'm almost done
[13:28] here
[13:31] so um almost turn that
[13:35] sideways so you have to figure out
[13:38] there's brass and then um aluminum and
[13:41] it just depends on
[13:44] your tire stem I think it's called I got
[13:49] to figure out where my jeep has if you
[13:50] put the wrong one on there it's two
[13:52] different metals are interacting with
[13:55] each other a lot and that's bad I don't
[13:57] know how but it's is just
[13:59] bad um and I think the reason they do
[14:03] that is cuz that's how they're
[14:05] monitoring temperature and I thought
[14:07] that was important to get one that
[14:08] monitors
[14:10] temperature
[14:12] so uh I'll find out what my jeep has and
[14:16] then I'll buy the other four that I need
[14:18] for it so that makes a total of 10 and
[14:20] it looks like a really cool unit it'll
[14:22] cycle between the two it'll show
[14:24] you it'll show you your RV and then
[14:27] it'll show you your Jeep and just keep
[14:29] going back and
[14:30] forth so I'm not going to be able to put
[14:35] that on when I go and get my my RV so
[14:39] when I go to pick it up I was thinking I
[14:42] would really like to but the problem is
[14:45] there's part of it that goes into a
[14:46] battery and it needs to be at the back
[14:49] of the RV so I'm just learning about
[14:52] this stuff and I assume there's
[14:54] batteries back there somewhere
[14:57] like you know know but maybe I have to
[15:00] drill a hole to get to them I just don't
[15:02] know and so probably won't be able to
[15:04] have that little bit of measure of
[15:06] safety on my first drive
[15:09] home so that's basically it you know I
[15:13] am I'm just going to get myself cleaned
[15:16] up today and then
[15:20] um so much to do I've been taking notes
[15:24] like lots and lots of notes there's so
[15:27] much I have to do you um and this is and
[15:31] I was starting to feel real overwhelmed
[15:33] last night you guys should know that
[15:35] too it is
[15:38] so much effort
[15:41] and I mean there's just so much to do to
[15:44] get out of your house like it's man like
[15:48] I've been moving around my whole life
[15:50] like as a kid as you know if you watch
[15:53] that video but even as an adult I have
[15:55] lived so many places I've been homeless
[15:58] I you know you know there's a lot I
[15:59] haven't told you guys about me yet I've
[16:01] been homeless many
[16:02] times
[16:06] um and like it was always easy for me to
[16:09] just kind of pack up and go cuz I never
[16:11] really accured stuff but now I have and
[16:15] it's oh man it is just so much work
[16:18] there's so much you got to do for your
[16:19] pets and your vehicles and you know and
[16:24] just your house
[16:26] and so yeah I'm just looking at my list
[16:28] here and it's
[16:31] just I'm feeling overwhelmed I'm feeling
[16:33] anxious I'm feeling excited just a whole
[16:35] mix of emotions you know and I think
[16:38] you're going to go through all of that
[16:39] when you embark on this
[16:42] journey um I'm just going to say one
[16:45] last thing so there's a channel I found
[16:47] last night and this guy is super cool
[16:50] and I just want to recommend him his
[16:52] name is Donnie his channel is
[16:55] Donnie
[16:57] um oh
[16:59] now I can't like um disperse Donnie
[17:03] disperse like you can go to Donny
[17:04] disperse decom he's got a little website
[17:06] there with great information on where to
[17:10] get maps for the different areas you
[17:12] might want to stay like he's all about
[17:14] dispersed camping like if you go to his
[17:16] channel and then to his oldest videos he
[17:20] did a whole bunch of camping some years
[17:22] ago I think I don't know if he's still
[17:23] doing it like he's he doesn't post
[17:25] regularly he posts like all videos are
[17:29] good and real high quality but he
[17:31] doesn't post often so you know um his
[17:35] older videos he did a whole lot of
[17:39] camping in a Subaru with his dog and I
[17:42] just found him really inspiring like I
[17:45] assume he's a lot younger than me me now
[17:47] like and he it just he is living the
[17:50] life that I wanted to live 20 years ago
[17:53] and it just was really nice to watch I
[17:57] think you really get a kick out of that
[18:00] if if this you know if you're watching
[18:01] me knowing what I'm going to do you know
[18:04] you must have an interest in that kind
[18:06] of lifestyle and he's someone you
[18:09] definitely would want to check
[18:10] out so that's it for now guys happy
[18:14] Tuesday I hope you guys have a good day

Narrative

It was the third take. Two attempts had already dissolved into tangents about sleeping patterns, and rswfire named that out loud before starting over — this is hard, this is my third take — and then began anyway. Nine in the morning, Tuesday, the light of a house he was in the process of leaving. The cats were already up and moving through the room behind him, audible, unbothered. He was still waking. He told the camera that too.

He had woken afraid. Not anxious, he corrected himself mid-sentence — fear, and a different thing than anxiety. He said it plainly and then said he thought it was passing, and moved on, because the day had a list in it. He needed to shave. He needed to run the clippers over his head again, down to half an inch, the way he does it himself, and he mentioned that the last pass had come out uneven in the back where he couldn't see. He offered that as a thing viewers might want to know about him. No hairstylist. Just maintenance, done by his own hand, imperfectly, on his own schedule.

Then the fear turned into a revision. He had told them before to go west, where the learning curve might be gentler — and now, standing three days out from picking up his camper on Friday, feeling it in his body before he had even started, he took it back. Go somewhere you love, he said. Go to the place you love most, so the beginning is a good memory. He'd seen a post the night before from a woman ready to quit after three weeks, circumstances unknown to him, and he did not diagnose her; he simply adjusted his own counsel. For himself he was thinking about the Natural Bridge — campgrounds there, though he didn't know the RV situation, didn't know if they were state or private, and said so, and put it on the list to look into.

The rest of the transmission was inventory. He had spent a lot on Amazon the night before and said so twice, without apology and without pretending otherwise. A solar power system, finally settled on, arriving in a couple of days so he could put it in the camper Friday and start learning what his actual energy requirements were. A GoPro, arrived that morning, unopened, destined for a windshield. Four external cameras, two of which he might send back once he'd learned the angles — he was thinking two per side facing different directions, the way he'd done it at his house, unless center placement made that unnecessary; he would experiment, because they weren't cheap. A dash cam system, four lenses across two units, front and cabin and rear, built for rideshare drivers who need to protect themselves. He worked through why: if the hitch let go on the highway and the Jeep stopped itself and someone came into it from behind, the footage settles it. Not blame — no dispute. Let's find out why that happened. Chocks, levelers, a surge protector, a long extension cord, a 30-amp-to-110 converter for the driveway week he already suspected would be a false rehearsal, since nothing out there plugs into a house. A little Bluetooth puck for the center of the camper that reads level in four directions. A drone — the same one he'd given his brother for Christmas, who liked it — never flown one, wanted the shots, and then the idea he floated to the camera to be told whether it was practical: dock it on the roof, call it up when something's happening outside, look, land it back. He said he thought he'd seen that in a TV show once.

The thing he'd forgotten came back to him after he asked for a pause to think. Tire pressure monitoring. He'd bought a TireMinder — the six-sensor package, not the ten, because the head unit takes up to twenty and the six would go on the RV. Then the part he was still working out: brass or aluminum, matched to the valve stem, because two dissimilar metals in contact is bad, and he said he didn't know how it was bad, only that it was. Temperature monitoring had mattered to him in the choosing. He'd check what the Jeep had and buy the other four. And he'd already reasoned out that he wouldn't have any of it on the first drive home, because part of the system needs to reach a battery at the back of the RV, and he assumed there were batteries back there, and he didn't know if getting to them meant drilling. So Friday's tow would go unmonitored. He named that as a measure of safety he wouldn't have, and moved on.

Near the end the recording device dropped to five percent and he laughed at it — losing power here, guys, a lot of power — tilting the phone sideways as if to nurse it, saying he was almost done. What was left came fast. So much to do. Notes and notes and notes. He said he had started to feel overwhelmed the night before and that they should know that too. He had moved his whole life, as a kid and as an adult, had been homeless many times, and said there was a lot he hadn't told them yet. Leaving used to be easy because he never accumulated. Now he had. Now there were pets and vehicles and a house and a list, and disassembling it was the work.

He closed with a recommendation rather than a conclusion: a channel he'd found the night before, Donnie, dispersed camping, a website with maps for the areas you might want to stay. The old videos were the ones that got him — a man camping out of a Subaru with his dog, high quality, posted rarely, someone rswfire guessed was younger than him and living the life he'd wanted twenty years ago. He said it was really nice to watch, and that if you were watching him you'd probably get a kick out of it. Then: that's it for now, guys. Happy Tuesday. Battery nearly gone, house half-emptied, camper three days out.

Summary

rswfire records a morning video, noting it is his third take and that this is practice he intends to repeat. He marks the time as 9:00 AM Tuesday, references the cats moving around, and mentions plans to clean up and shave his head down to half an inch — his standard self-maintenance approach.

He states he woke up with fear about the scale of the change underway, alongside continued excitement, and describes it as passing. Based on this, he revises earlier advice to viewers: rather than heading west to learn, he recommends starting in a place you already love, referencing a post from someone considering quitting after three weeks. He names Natural Bridge as a candidate location and says he'll research campground and RV availability there.

Most of the transmission catalogs an Amazon order placed the previous night:

  • Solar power system, to test energy requirements once the camper arrives Friday
  • GoPro (windshield mounting) and a drone, matching the one he gave his brother; he proposes docking the drone on the camper roof for on-demand exterior surveillance
  • Four external cameras (may return two), a dual-unit dash cam with four cameras, cited as evidence in road incidents
  • Chocks, levelers, Bluetooth leveling sensor, surge protector, extension cable, 30-amp-to-110-volt converter
  • TireMinder TPMS, six sensors, needing brass-vs-aluminum stem verification on the Jeep before buying four more

He notes the TPMS won't be installed for the pickup drive. He states he is working from extensive lists, feels overwhelmed, anxious, and excited, and states he has been homeless many times and previously moved easily without accumulated possessions. He closes by recommending the channel Donnie Disperse for dispersed camping maps and information.

Environment

Interior of a residential dwelling in the morning — 9:00 AM Tuesday, recorded to camera as a direct-address video for a small audience. Cats are audible and moving in the background. The recording device is running low on battery, hitting 5% near the end and forcing the transmission to close.

The surrounding context is a pre-departure staging environment: a house being emptied, a list of tasks in hand, Amazon deliveries arriving, and a camper scheduled for pickup on Friday. Referenced external locations include the Natural Bridge campgrounds and unspecified western public lands.

Substrate

The architecture being built is a self-instrumented mobile system: solar power, tire pressure telemetry, multi-angle external cameras, dash cameras, leveling sensors, and drone reconnaissance — a habitat that senses and records its own state and surroundings. rswfire holds the position that documentation is protection: cameras function as evidentiary infrastructure, and the daily video itself is stated as deliberate practice toward competence. Simultaneously a dissolution is underway — the accumulated household is being disassembled, and he names the friction of that as the cost of leaving fixed ground.
