[0:00] You see this Jeep behind me? 2023 Jeep Wrangler Willys edition. I've had it for two years now,
[0:08] maybe two and a half. It is my favorite thing on earth, by far. It came with me all the way
[0:19] from Kentucky, thousands of miles toward behind that RV, to the Oregon coast where I ended up
[0:29] volunteering for the Forest Service. I'm a caretaker here. I've been here for a year now.
[0:34] It helps get me here. Helped me to establish a life here. And I'm probably going to lose it. I
[0:44] have until Sunday to come up with $525 or it goes into repossession status. I lose it. And a friend
[0:55] who knows my entire story, knows the past two years, knows everything worth knowing about me,
[1:01] made it sound like it was my fault that I'm losing it. Because I don't have a job,
[1:06] because I don't have the money to pay for it. She flattened my experience into what you expect
[1:16] critics and adversaries to say to you. Saying, you don't have a job, so it's your fault. Well,
[1:24] here's why I don't have a job. Two years ago, I moved out of my house. I had built up a fair
[1:30] enough savings. I was a freelance programmer all of my life. Built up a fair enough savings and
[1:36] wanted to do something different with my life. I was very unhappy, a lot happier now. I moved
[1:45] into that RV. I adapted to it. That took six months. I did that in Kentucky. Then I traveled
[1:52] across the country. It took over a month. I had all kinds of things I had to do during that time.
[1:59] There was just so much going on in my life. I documented all of it on camera. I had a YouTube
[2:05] channel. In the end, I ended up having over 900 videos over two years. This channel doesn't exist
[2:12] anymore because I created my own platform called Autonomy Realms. I've been working on this for
[2:16] over a year now. That hosts all of my videos and my photos and my journey. You can literally see
[2:22] traces on a map of places that I've hiked and explored. The photos are pinned on the map where
[2:28] they were taken. It is a really cool platform that I've been building. I've been treating it as a
[2:35] backup plan because I didn't want to put all my eggs in one basket. I didn't want to risk what I
[2:44] have been building on something that's unproven. I tried all the normal things. I had been a
[2:49] freelance programmer. Like I said, all of my life, I worked on the freelance platforms. I was
[2:54] in the top 10 on Guru.com in the programming category. I was the only individual to ever do
[2:59] that. Before I ended up with a long-term client, I worked with for over 10 years. That relationship
[3:07] kind of soured. The freelance platforms died because of artificial intelligence. I couldn't
[3:14] find work. I tried. Then I tried just finding work in town, working at a gas station or something
[3:21] like that. I spent months trying to get a job at one particular place in Florence, near where I
[3:26] live. The manager, the owner, just kept stringing me along. Then one day, he finally says he'll
[3:34] hire me. I show up the day he tells me to and he's not even there. He's at some other store. I drive
[3:40] down there and confront him, like, what's going on? It turns out that his son doesn't like gay
[3:46] people. I didn't get that job. I started doing work for someone at a marina. I think that I was
[3:56] just older than he expected me to be. I painted a bunch of stuff for him, ruining my clothes and my
[4:00] shoes. Then he let me go over in a text message without any notice. Right when I thought I was
[4:08] finally stabilizing. That's all I've been trying to do since I got here. I volunteer. I live in a
[4:16] vehicle, an RV, a small one. It's just completely falling apart. It's so much that I deal with.
[4:30] My volunteering full time. As a caretaker, I actually drive one of their Forest Service trucks.
[4:37] They trust me with that. I go on a 20 mile route every day. I've been doing this for a year. It
[4:42] gives me a place. It gives me housing. It gives me utilities, power, water. Those are bills that I
[4:50] don't have to worry about because I volunteer my labor in exchange for those things. I couldn't
[4:58] figure out how do I pay for my Jeep. I haven't been paying for my RV either. These things were
[5:06] financed. My situation isn't great. I've been doing my best. I have tried everything. I mean,
[5:14] that's not everything because I explored every path that I could and it just felt like everything
[5:20] was blocked. The only way I was getting out of this situation is by building autonomy realms.
[5:24] By building something that's mine that I can offer to others. I just think so many people are
[5:34] gonna love this thing. Especially nomads. People who explore like I do. They're going to just love
[5:39] this thing. I was working really hard to get it ready from absolute precarity because I've had no
[5:45] money. The technology itself runs on a server that cost me $20-$30 a month because I know that I can
[5:52] cover that every month. Even that can be difficult sometimes. It's shocking because I made so much
[5:58] money most of my life but these past two years it just feels like the world is just misaligned.
[6:05] I don't really understand it. But then for a friend to tell me it's my fault. To find my
[6:10] experience that way was deeply hurtful and enraging. It made me angry is what it did.
[6:16] And I ended our friendship because I don't want to have friends in my life. I don't want to be
[6:24] friends with people who judge me. I don't judge other people. I don't go around judging people.
[6:30] Nobody. I don't go around talking about people or judging them because those are not just not
[6:35] things that I do. They're just not how my brain works. How my mind works. And I've never understood
[6:41] why this does seem to be a default pattern for most people. But you would think that your friends,
[6:46] the people that you befriend and try so hard to build honest real relationships with would have
[6:52] more respect for you than that. And apparently she didn't. And I just wanted to make a short video
[6:58] about that because I think it matters. I'm not going to beat myself up if I lose this Jeep which
[7:05] is very likely. I have until Sunday. I haven't figured out a solution. And I was just about to
[7:11] launch a Timey Rounds and then learned about a requirement I didn't know about in the Google
[7:14] Android store where you have to have 12 people test your app for two weeks before they'll even
[7:20] look at it and consider putting it in the public store. I didn't know about this. So that was just
[7:24] another another hurdle put in front of me blocking me from this path that I have been trying so hard
[7:30] to build. Like it just feels like we have made everything harder in the world. I'm not bitching
[7:36] about it. I'm not complaining. I'm just telling you these are the operating circumstances of my
[7:40] life. This is reality. And sure would be nice. If people in general, especially your friends know
[7:52] how to have more respect for somebody who's trying so fucking hard, right? I'll leave it there.

Summary

rswfire records a signal in front of his 2023 Jeep Wrangler Willys, which he has owned about two and a half years and which towed his RV from Kentucky to the Oregon coast. He states he has until Sunday to produce $525 or the vehicle enters repossession status, and that he has not found a solution.

He recounts a friend framing the loss as his fault because he does not have a job. He states this flattened his experience into the language of critics and adversaries, that it was hurtful and made him angry, and that he ended the friendship. He describes not judging or talking about others as baseline to how his mind works.

He then lays out the operating circumstances behind the absence of income:

  • Left a house and freelance career two years ago with savings, moved into the RV, spent six months adapting in Kentucky, then over a month traveling cross-country, documenting 900+ videos.
  • Freelance platforms collapsed with AI; a decade-long client relationship soured. He was formerly top 10 in programming on Guru.com.
  • A Florence gas station owner strung him along for months, then the job did not materialize; he states the owner's son doesn't like gay people. A marina painting job ended by text without notice.

He describes full-time Forest Service caretaking — a 20-mile daily route in an agency truck, exchanged for site, power, and water — and names Autonomy Realms as the path out, currently blocked by a Google Play requirement of twelve testers over two weeks. He states he is not complaining, and will not beat himself up if the Jeep goes.

Environment

Outdoor recording at the volunteer caretaker site near Siltcoos in the Oregon Dunes, on the Oregon coast. rswfire speaks to camera with the 2023 Jeep Wrangler Willys positioned behind him and the RV in the same frame — the two financed vehicles that carried him from Kentucky are the physical backdrop of the transmission.

The surrounding operating environment includes the Forest Service caretaker arrangement (housing, utilities, a 20-mile daily truck route), the town of Florence as the nearest labor market, and the digital environment of Autonomy Realms — the platform he built and runs on a $20–30/month server — plus the Google Play review pipeline gating Timey Rounds.

Substrate

The architecture held is a correction of the causal record: rswfire restates the full two-year sequence — savings, RV adaptation, cross-country move, collapsed freelance market, blocked local hiring — to show that his position is the product of structural conditions, not personal failure. The ontological position is authorship over his own account; when a friend substituted the adversary's compressed frame ("no job, your fault"), he ended the relationship rather than accept the substitution. What is being built is Autonomy Realms as the only unblocked path he identifies; what is being dissolved is the assumption that friendship guarantees accurate witnessing.

Actions

Performed

  • •recording a to-camera transmission with the Jeep in frame
  • •stating the repossession deadline and the $525 amount
  • •reconstructing the causal chain behind not having a job
  • •naming the friend's framing as flattening and stating it made him angry
  • •declining self-blame for the likely loss of the Jeep
  • •declining the framings of complaint and bitching
  • •stating the operating circumstances as reality

Referenced

  • •moved out of his house two years ago
  • •built savings as a lifelong freelance programmer
  • •moved into the RV and adapted over six months in Kentucky
  • •drove across the country over a month with the Jeep towed behind the RV
  • •documented the journey in over 900 videos on a YouTube channel
  • •removed that channel and built Autonomy Realms instead
  • •built map-pinned photo and trace functionality into the platform
  • •reached top 10 on Guru.com in the programming category
  • •worked with one long-term client for over 10 years
  • •searched for work after the freelance platforms collapsed
  • •pursued a job in Florence for months
  • •drove to confront the owner after being told to show up
  • •did paid painting work at a marina
  • •volunteered full time as Forest Service caretaker for a year
  • •drove a Forest Service truck on a 20-mile route daily
  • •stopped payments on the Jeep and the RV
  • •ended the friendship after his experience was flattened

Planned

  • •launch Timey Rounds once the Play Store testing requirement is met
  • •recruit 12 testers for a two-week test period
  • •continue building and offering Autonomy Realms
  • •continue without friends who judge him

Ontological States

Expressed modes of being or awareness.

sovereign (authors his own causal account and refuses an externally supplied frame)
precarious by structure (financed assets unpaid, no income path, deadline stated flatly as fact)
embedded (year-long caretaker role integrated with land, route, housing, and utilities)
building (Autonomy Realms and Timey Rounds under construction from zero capital)
severing (relationship terminated at the point where accurate witnessing failed)

Engaged Subsystems

Architecture engaged in this transmission.

economic (repossession deadline, $525, unpaid financing, server cost as the one covered expense)
infrastructural (Autonomy Realms platform, server, map-trace architecture, app distribution pipeline)
relational (friendship terminated over frame substitution; explicit standard for how witnessing must work)
institutional (Forest Service labor-for-housing exchange; Google Play gating; freelance platform collapse)
labor (freelance history, local job attempts, painting work, full-time volunteer caretaking)
ethical (stated non-judgment as operating principle, applied symmetrically as an expectation of others)
mobility (Jeep and RV as the means of arrival and establishment on the coast)
