Default filters control what visitors see when they first land on your realm. These settings determine the initial state of the signal stream and Atlas map before the visitor applies any filters of their own.
Your realm may contain multiple signal types — audio, video, image, text. The default signal type filters let you choose which types are visible by default. For example, if your realm is primarily an audio archive, you might default to showing only audio signals.
Visitors can always change the active filters after the page loads. Default filters simply set the starting point.
Visibility filters control which signals appear based on their access level. You can configure the default to show all public signals, or include other visibility levels depending on your realm's structure.
Filter presets allow you to define named combinations of filters that visitors can quickly apply. Instead of manually selecting signal types and visibility levels, visitors can choose a preset that applies a curated filter configuration in one click.
Presets are useful for realms with diverse content where different audiences may want different views of the archive.
