[0:00] feels really good to be
[0:02] clean just took a very long hot shower
[0:05] because I can because my tanks will be
[0:08] empty tomorrow morning so this is our
[0:11] last day here day 14 what are you me
[0:15] about Buddy do you know what do you want
[0:18] you got everything you could possibly
[0:20] need you got food you got fish flakes
[0:22] you got treats the only thing you
[0:24] haven't had is a
[0:26] popsicle oh God that's what you want
[0:28] isn't it
[0:30] well I guess they were going to learn
[0:33] sometime my cat eats popsicles guys well
[0:37] lies them these are not his favorite
[0:39] kind do you want this or not is Oliver
[0:43] bothering you he decided he doesn't want
[0:46] it my mom got him eating popsicles um he
[0:51] likes a very specific kind that I don't
[0:54] have so I guess he's just selling for
[0:57] normal food or he's just distracted
[1:00] that's distracted and does other
[1:02] stuff oh anyways um I'm feeling really
[1:07] good about tomorrow I am excited to go
[1:09] to the beach and just spend a week there
[1:12] and I got a lot done here today um I
[1:16] think I got pretty organized like some
[1:18] stuff is very like randomly put together
[1:21] in my storage Bas you know
[1:24] but you know it's a process and I'm good
[1:27] with that um and it's pretty clean in
[1:30] here I know it doesn't look like it cuz
[1:31] you're seeing a lot of stuff but I'll
[1:33] just explain what's going on because I
[1:35] think we're pretty we're pretty good
[1:37] right now so that's you know the trash
[1:41] I'll take out tomorrow some of this is
[1:43] going out into the storage Bays this is
[1:46] the cat's stuff this is all going into
[1:48] the storage
[1:50] base um that's solar
[1:52] stuff over there you um some of my
[1:55] towing gear so most of this is going out
[1:57] tomorrow just didn't want to leave it
[1:59] out
[2:02] um you know everything is good up here
[2:05] like I'm really happy with how
[2:07] everything's turned out up here like
[2:08] I've got stuff you know my coats can
[2:10] hang up my hats can hang up all these
[2:12] have purposes like like everything is
[2:15] good and it's just Pleasant to be able
[2:18] to have like you know these two
[2:20] different types of curtains these
[2:21] curtains came from an old apartment of
[2:22] mine and I love them I always Lov them
[2:25] but I could never find a place for
[2:27] them um in my house and then it just was
[2:30] like wait I could put those in my camper
[2:32] and they are beautiful in here then the
[2:35] blackout ones of course you know
[2:37] everything up here is good like you know
[2:39] I'm doing pretty good I feel
[2:41] like um and then we got the office area
[2:44] I'm going to break this stuff down
[2:45] tomorrow I've already unplugged it all
[2:48] um just you know I'm going to put put it
[2:50] in two stacks cuz I haven't been able to
[2:52] strap it down
[2:54] yet um you know and then over here
[2:56] there's not a lot like there's my
[2:58] computer there's my drone there's
[2:59] there's my coffee maker those boxes have
[3:02] coffee in
[3:03] them up here you know my computer oh and
[3:06] there's a PlayStation down there I even
[3:07] got it hooked up but I couldn't find the
[3:08] controller it's probably in a storage P
[3:10] I was going to try it tonight but I
[3:11] can't now thinking about letting the
[3:14] cats have their Tower up
[3:15] here so they have access to the window
[3:18] it's a little taller than I was um
[3:20] thinking it would be so I don't
[3:23] know um but they don't you think they
[3:26] could just be on the table because of
[3:29] you you know there's a
[3:31] gap I don't even know what that Gap is
[3:33] all about I mean there's some there's
[3:35] just a gap here and so they're not happy
[3:38] there's not happy sitting there standing
[3:40] there
[3:41] whatever um this is a little bit of a
[3:44] Messe I'll get that cleaned up before I
[3:45] go to bed one thing I did I feel like I
[3:49] wanted I wanted to share
[3:51] this I think that you should not keep
[3:54] the cover on that sink because then you
[3:57] don't start putting stuff up there all
[3:59] over the place and and lose access to it
[4:03] so I'm not going to I'm just going to
[4:04] it's a sink that spot's a
[4:07] sink um Oliver's having fun over here he
[4:11] loves to destroy my curtains he knows
[4:13] how to get around them but you know why
[4:16] bother right Oliver when you can do
[4:20] that oh I also wanted to mention I'm
[4:23] embracing
[4:24] baskets big time like so that's all the
[4:28] cat stuff in that basket
[4:30] um I think there's one oh well it's
[4:32] under this stuff well under that there's
[4:33] another basket just like it it's office
[4:36] stuff I got one for my bathroom so
[4:41] that's all bathroom stuff I have um
[4:44] that's it I have three baskets plus two
[4:46] others that I already had but I have
[4:47] three more of this this kind coming and
[4:50] they're just going to get filled pretty
[4:52] fast I'm going to put my coffee in them
[4:54] and um you know whatever you know like I
[4:57] feel like baskets are the way to go
[5:00] you know the bed's not too bad um I want
[5:03] to you know obviously I need to make the
[5:05] bed these are all clothes um clean
[5:09] clothes the garbage bag has my underwear
[5:13] and socks in it I have nowhere for them
[5:15] I was trying to put them up there but it
[5:16] didn't work you know the holes are too
[5:18] big those are all clean clothes um I did
[5:21] my mom did my laundry at her house when
[5:23] I there the other day I just got to put
[5:25] them away I'll do that
[5:26] tonight um one thing this is awesome
[5:29] like so ants have been getting into my
[5:32] cat's food since the day we got here but
[5:34] for some reason this rug has stopped
[5:36] them so I feel like that's a good tip to
[5:39] share something about this rug has
[5:41] really helped cuz my cats would not
[5:44] accept not having access to their food
[5:46] 24/7 they would they would not be happy
[5:50] with me so I needed a solution and I
[5:53] didn't expect the rug to be the solution
[5:55] but maybe be I don't know I don't know
[5:56] why the whatever whatever it's made out
[5:59] of I think I think I think it said it
[6:00] was velvet but that surprised me it's so
[6:03] soft I love
[6:05] it um usually Bailey is not allowed to
[6:07] look out the windows at night because if
[6:09] well at my house he wasn't because if he
[6:11] saw a cat outside he would just go
[6:14] ballistic but he's not doing that
[6:18] anymore are you baby I mean he's not
[6:21] seeing cats either he doesn't seem to
[6:22] care about other
[6:25] animals
[6:26] yeah you are ready for tomorrow we have
[6:29] a big day tomorrow buddy big day oh your
[6:35] fur
[6:37] Oliver you know obviously I need to
[6:39] clean this up but I mean it's it's
[6:41] mostly clean I mean I don't know if it
[6:43] looks like that to you guys but it you
[6:45] know when you're in a space this
[6:48] small this is not bad so oh compared to
[6:52] what I had been living in so these were
[6:55] very good 14 days I feel like I got a
[6:58] lot done it was productive
[7:00] and you know not just here but
[7:01] everything I had to do in my life to get
[7:03] to this point and I am feeling good
[7:06] about tomorrow see I think I just need
[7:08] to explain a lot of my fear is still
[7:10] about driving I just and towing and
[7:15] navigating navig who my cat just jumped
[7:18] up here um just navigating
[7:21] like the roads like I just I don't know
[7:24] why I've I think it'll go away that was
[7:26] the whole point of going to Nevada
[7:28] because if I drive a l long long long
[7:30] ways hopefully I get comfortable with it
[7:33] that is that is the
[7:35] Hope um and I've been fine every time
[7:38] that I have driven so I I you know I
[7:41] can't see my Jeep um behind my camper
[7:44] when I'm towing it um I do need to
[7:47] adjust the rear camera that that came
[7:50] with the camper that's integrated into
[7:52] it to give me a better view of what's
[7:55] behind it and behind my Jeep cuz I don't
[7:59] like my fear now is like it's really
[8:01] hard for me to judge my distances like
[8:04] if I need to get into another Lane have
[8:06] I left enough room that my jeep's not
[8:09] going to hit something like
[8:11] that's it
[8:13] just I'm just I guess I'm a visual guy
[8:16] like I need to see
[8:19] everything man this cat is for oh
[8:23] man
[8:25] um that's the main one like nothing else
[8:29] really bothers me it's not like I'm
[8:30] scared to be here like I hope I haven't
[8:33] I guess I hope I've explained it well
[8:35] like my fears are all wrapped up around
[8:37] driving they just
[8:39] are um this lifestyle doesn't scare me
[8:43] like not it's nothing like that I guess
[8:46] I probably didn't explain that very well
[8:49] it's the driving it's the driving that
[8:51] worries me just driving a big thing and
[8:53] towing something behind it and and how
[8:56] do you like you know in the gas stations
[8:58] and just you know but I've planned those
[9:02] and or taking this to go and get tires
[9:05] or taking it to go and get propane like
[9:08] it's just a very big thing to drive and
[9:11] it just that's that's where all of my
[9:14] trepidation is
[9:16] from Oliver do you have to make a mess
[9:19] with a cat litter oh my
[9:22] god
[9:24] um I'm ready for tomorrow I'm I'm ready
[9:27] to do this so I'm very excited I hope
[9:29] you guys have a great night and I will
[9:31] see you on day 15 where I will be on a
[9:33] beach somewhere in Tennessee

Narrative

The shower ran long and hot because it could — the tanks would be empty by morning, and there was no reason left to conserve. rswfire came out of it clean, and clean was the word he reached for first when he started talking: it feels really good. Day fourteen at this site, the last one. Behind him the camper held everything he owned in it, most of it already staged for the bays, and in front of him was a morning departure he had been building toward for two weeks.

Oliver was working on him before he could get a sentence out. Food, fish flakes, treats — everything a cat could possibly need was already accounted for, and still there was something. A popsicle, it turned out. rswfire pulled one out, held it up, narrated the whole thing for the camera — my cat eats popsicles, guys — and Oliver, who had been taught the habit by rswfire's mother and had opinions about brands, declined. Wrong kind. Or distraction. rswfire let it go without deciding which and moved on to the walkthrough.

He panned across the space and pre-empted the impression. It looks like a lot of stuff, he said, but this is what good looks like right now. The trash goes out tomorrow. The cat gear goes to the storage bays. The solar equipment, the towing hardware — all of it out in the morning, brought inside only so it wouldn't sit exposed overnight. Then he turned to the parts that were finished, and the register shifted. Coats hanging. Hats hanging. Everything with a purpose. Two sets of curtains: blackouts, and a set carried from an old apartment that he had always loved and never been able to place, curtains that had waited years for a room small enough to be right for them. The office corner was already unplugged, waiting to be broken down into two strapped stacks. The computer, the drone, the coffee maker, the boxes of coffee. A PlayStation he had bothered to hook up and then couldn't play, because the controller was somewhere in a storage bay and the night was going to end before it got found.

The organizing logic came out as tips, offered plainly. Don't put the cover on the sink — the moment you do, things accumulate there and you lose the sink. So the sink stays a sink. And baskets: cat basket, office basket, bathroom basket, three of them plus two he already had, three more on the way and already assigned in his head to coffee and to whatever came next. He was embracing baskets big time. Some of what was in the bays was thrown together at random and he said so, and said he was good with that, because it's a process. Oliver, meanwhile, was attacking the curtains he already knew how to walk around, purely for the pleasure of it.

Then the rug. Ants had been getting into the cat food since the day they arrived, and the cats would not tolerate anything less than food available around the clock — that was a fixed constraint, not open for negotiation. He hadn't bought the rug as a solution. Something about it — velvet, allegedly, softer than he expected — stopped the ants cold. He didn't know why. He shared it anyway, because it worked. Nearby, Bailey sat at the window at night, something he had never been allowed at the house because the sight of an outdoor cat would set him off. Out here he watched and didn't care. There was clean laundry on the bed his mother had washed at her house, underwear and socks in a garbage bag because he hadn't found the right container yet, and a mess by the litter box that Oliver was actively expanding. He said he'd handle it before bed.

Fourteen good days, he called them. Productive — not just the site, but everything in his life that had to be done to arrive at this point. And then he named the one thing still open, carefully, because he wanted it understood correctly. The fear is the driving. Not the lifestyle — the lifestyle doesn't scare him, he said it twice to make sure it landed. It's the towing. He can't see the Jeep behind the camper. The integrated rear camera needs adjusting to show him what's back there. Judging distance is the specific problem: whether there's room to change lanes without putting the Jeep into something. I'm a visual guy, he said. I need to see everything. Nevada was the answer he had already designed for it — drive a long, long way and let the discomfort wear off through exposure. Every drive so far had been fine. That's the hope.

He was ready for tomorrow. He said so twice, told the camera to have a great night, and signed off toward day fifteen, on a beach somewhere in Tennessee.

RV living camper organization site departure cats towing and driving storage systems day-count log

Summary

rswfire records the final night of a 14-day stay before relocating the camper to a beach site the following morning. He notes he has just taken a long hot shower because the tanks empty in the morning.

He interacts with his cats, Bailey and Oliver, offering a popsicle that Oliver declines, noting his mother introduced the cat to a specific brand he doesn't have on hand. He observes Bailey no longer reacts to windows at night the way he did at the house.

He walks through the camper's current state and organization:

  • Items staged for the storage bays — cat supplies, solar gear, towing equipment, trash
  • Curtains carried from a prior apartment, plus blackout curtains; hanging space for coats and hats
  • An office area to be broken down and stacked for travel; computer, drone, coffee maker, an unused PlayStation missing its controller
  • Baskets as an organizing system — three in use, three more incoming
  • A decision to keep the sink cover off so the sink stays accessible
  • Clean laundry done at his mother's house, still to be put away
  • A rug that has stopped ants from reaching the cats' food

He states he got a lot done, calls the 14 days productive, and states he is excited for the move. He specifies that his trepidation is located entirely in driving and towing — judging distances, lane changes, gas stations — and that the Nevada trip is intended to build comfort through long-distance driving. He states the lifestyle itself does not worry him.

Environment

Interior of a towable camper, recorded at the end of day 14 at a single stay site prior to departure. The space contains an office area with stacked equipment already unplugged, a computer, drone, coffee maker, boxed coffee, a PlayStation with no located controller, hanging coats and hats, two curtain types (one set carried from a former apartment, one blackout), a cat tower, a sink kept uncovered, a rug at the cat food station, baskets used as the organizing unit, and staged loads bound for the exterior storage bays.

Two cats — Oliver and Bailey — are present and active throughout. Referenced external locations include the exterior storage bays, Nevada as a planned long-drive route, and a beach destination stated as Tennessee.

Substrate

rswfire is documenting a completed setup cycle at the point where a static stay converts back into motion — inventory verified, systems assigned purposes, loads staged. The architecture held is spatial: every object has a designated location, the sink stays a sink, baskets function as containment logic, and the rug operates as an unintended but accepted boundary against ants. He isolates the single unresolved variable — towing and lane-distance judgment without visual confirmation of the Jeep behind the camper — and states the Nevada run as the deliberate exposure method for closing it.

Actions

Performed

  • •narrating a walkthrough of the camper interior
  • •identifying which items go to storage bays
  • •explaining the basket organization system
  • •explaining the rug-as-ant-barrier
  • •stating tanks will be empty by morning
  • •stating the fear is specific to driving and towing, not the lifestyle
  • •correcting the record on what does and does not concern him

Referenced

  • •took a long hot shower
  • •organized storage bays
  • •unplugged office equipment
