[0:01] hello fellow humans how are you
[0:04] doing let's try that again hello fellow
[0:08] humans I'm having a very you know it
[0:10] took me a long time to come up with how
[0:11] am I going to greet you guys I have
[0:13] settled on fellow humans cuz that is the
[0:15] only thing that makes sense we are not
[0:17] friends we are not acquaintances I don't
[0:20] know you you don't really know
[0:22] me everything else feels fake so I'm
[0:25] going with fellow humans cuz that's what
[0:27] we are so I am having a very good day I
[0:30] hope that you are as
[0:31] well I would actually like to know how
[0:34] are you doing it's not an empty question
[0:37] I'd like to know while you guys might be
[0:40] here to get to know me I'm here to get
[0:42] to know you and I've been trying it's
[0:45] been like 4 months and I've gotten to
[0:47] know a couple of you a little bit but
[0:49] you
[0:51] know it feels very one-sided I get it
[0:53] YouTube but that's not why I'm here it's
[0:55] not what I'm trying to do I want to
[0:57] build a community I want to build a
[1:00] a group of people who are here to
[1:04] support each other and just bring
[1:07] positivity and lighten to this world we
[1:09] need more of it so how are you introduce
[1:13] yourself tell me how your day is going
[1:15] I'd love to chat with you
[1:19] so with that said I am just waiting on
[1:23] an order from Walmart I'm going to go
[1:25] pick it up I don't even have to go into
[1:26] the store how wonderful is that you can
[1:28] be a nomad and still avoid grocery
[1:30] stores that's
[1:32] wonderful um so I had a chat with with
[1:36] Claude in AI this morning and I just
[1:39] explained to it I don't know how to cook
[1:41] I have no idea how to cook these are the
[1:43] tools available to me help me learn to
[1:46] cook it is actually doing a better job
[1:48] than chat DBT was um so we put together
[1:51] a grocery list for me where I'll
[1:54] basically be able to use you know part
[1:56] of something I buy and then use it for
[1:58] multiple meals cuz you know I'm one
[1:59] person
[2:00] that was one of the challenges I had how
[2:02] do
[2:02] you how do you cook for one person
[2:05] without wasting stuff without having to
[2:06] buy a whole bunch of stuff so we settled
[2:09] on a Mexican theme for this week cuz
[2:10] that's my favorite type of food so you
[2:14] know tacos of course the air conditioner
[2:17] has to come on give me a second okay
[2:20] it's actually quite nice today um it's
[2:22] only like 74 in here I I I'm comfortable
[2:25] you know I don't need it to be any
[2:27] cooler than that I don't know why like
[2:30] this new spot I guess is helping I don't
[2:32] know or it's just a day it's very cloudy
[2:34] out that's probably a big part of it
[2:36] right so anyways we settled on Mexican
[2:39] so that I can make tacos and even a
[2:41] Mexican pizza I told her I love Taco
[2:42] Bell Mexican pizzas and it came up with
[2:45] an you know an idea for that so
[2:49] um also breakfast you know cuz I've only
[2:52] I for years all I've ever done is eat
[2:53] one meal a day I'd usually just order
[2:55] something from door Dash and that was it
[2:57] it was definitely not healthy for me one
[2:59] of the reasons since I moved into this
[3:00] RV was to change that and I haven't been
[3:02] putting enough focus into it so that's
[3:04] what I'm doing today I'm going to I
[3:07] learned something too I learned kind of
[3:10] like a trick where you know I don't have
[3:13] a lot of space like preparing a meal
[3:15] that's really hard to do so cuz I just
[3:18] don't have the space and if I have to do
[3:19] that every day it just feels super
[3:21] challenging but I realized you can do
[3:23] all the prep work in advance right you
[3:25] could just like cook up all your ground
[3:27] beef and um chop up you know your
[3:30] vegetables whatever else and just have
[3:31] it all prepared in the fridge and then
[3:33] when you go to make your meals way
[3:35] easier so that's what I'm going to do
[3:37] today just sort of like the prep work
[3:40] and try to establish a new pattern for
[3:43] myself
[3:44] because I think it's going to be awesome
[3:46] I'm super excited so um my my electric
[3:50] skillet is so big like I've decided I
[3:54] needed to get something else there were
[3:55] not a lot of options at Walmart there
[3:57] were basically two and just put a I'll
[4:00] put a you know you'll see it a
[4:02] screenshot of what I bought now this
[4:04] thing is by Drew Barrymore who I happen
[4:07] to love because one of my favorite
[4:09] movies all time has never been kissed
[4:11] back in the days when I
[4:12] dated I used to make everybody watch it
[4:15] with me I've probably seen it like 300
[4:18] times at least so I love drewberry more
[4:20] but I'm not really a fan of buying
[4:23] celebity endorsed cooking products but
[4:28] it was that or this other thing that
[4:30] just seemed like just didn't seem like
[4:32] it was a good idea this thing's kind of
[4:35] interesting I guess it can be used in a
[4:36] lot of different ways you guys will
[4:39] probably understand it better than me
[4:41] but I will learn so um I think it might
[4:44] be a better option for me um hopefully
[4:47] it uses less power I couldn't check that
[4:48] I wasn't sure how much power it used but
[4:50] I mean it's smaller so it must right um
[4:53] but the thing can do like a bunch of
[4:54] different things depending on how you
[4:56] configure it so maybe like the power
[4:58] usage is always the same I don't know it
[4:59] doesn't you know whatever um because you
[5:01] know when I go
[5:02] boondocking I I got to think about
[5:04] things like this so that's my focus
[5:08] today what's yours so I have been trying
[5:11] to get organized in here a little bit
[5:13] today knowing that I was going to do
[5:14] some grocery shopping and I move my
[5:17] stuff over here around again um this is
[5:19] so hard let me just turn the camera the
[5:21] way you're supposed so I move my solar
[5:24] back over here it's just not safe that
[5:26] way when I'm driving I've got to figure
[5:28] out a way to just get that
[5:30] so that it never moves like I just need
[5:32] it to be there that is the best place
[5:34] for it and then you know my little
[5:35] basket I love those baskets they're just
[5:37] I just think they're so cute um you know
[5:40] and then I got a little Trash Can I
[5:41] think I need to get a bigger one though
[5:42] I feel
[5:43] like that's just not working for me
[5:46] that's my um dehumidifier I just turned
[5:49] it off because I went down to the
[5:50] showers and it seemed like with my air
[5:52] conditioner and dehumidifier both
[5:54] running at the same time sometimes it
[5:56] would trip the uh you know the fuse or
[5:58] something that's kind of what happened
[5:59] that's what Happ the electrical problem
[6:01] and I didn't want the air to turn off in
[6:03] case it got hot while I was gone and
[6:05] baile was in here but this whole area is
[6:07] kind of cleaned up now so I actually
[6:09] have room for another one of those I
[6:12] don't know door things I kind of love
[6:14] this basket for like journaling and pens
[6:16] I'm thinking this is my art and craft
[6:19] project that I've only worked on once I
[6:20] do want to get back to it I truly do and
[6:23] then I got this thing it puts baskets
[6:25] inside a bask like that just seems very
[6:27] secure I have too many pens I think a
[6:28] lot of them need to go I I'm still
[6:30] trying to live my old life I guess but
[6:33] you know now I've got some room back
[6:34] here and then this is all just kind
[6:37] of um it's open Bailey can be up here if
[6:40] he wants to be sometimes he does get in
[6:42] that basket he seems to like it you know
[6:44] I can put my feet up here I can use my
[6:47] laptop um I got these like a week ago
[6:51] and I think maybe it was a mistake cuz
[6:52] you know those are going to just get
[6:53] moved around a lot while I'm driving
[6:56] I'll get all of this cleaned up um I'm
[6:58] burning my disc still so even this won't
[7:01] be here like I'll be able to get rid of
[7:02] a bunch of this stuff these hard drives
[7:04] I use all the time but I didn't want to
[7:06] like it's really hard
[7:08] to um you know keep them somewhere where
[7:12] it's not a problem I'm driving so I was
[7:13] like okay let's get a basket put them in
[7:16] the basket and then I can just hook them
[7:18] up when I need to and you know maybe
[7:20] I'll like use um something to um just
[7:24] keep them there glue them somehow I
[7:26] don't know I in velcro yeah like
[7:27] industrial Str velcro or something did
[7:29] Velcro right to the table it's kind of
[7:30] what I'm thinking I'm probably going to
[7:32] do that with all of these things pretty
[7:33] much and then that will clean this space
[7:35] up for for prep work you know because I
[7:38] need to be able
[7:39] to um I just don't have enough space in
[7:42] here you know for for cooking for
[7:44] anything really so I'm hoping this will
[7:46] help um I was looking at the books I do
[7:49] have and I am not getting rid of them I
[7:52] cannot do it I will not do it so came up
[7:55] with so they're in this
[7:57] basket look this is
[8:00] this is like an atlas of the universe
[8:02] like I've had this for ages I'm not
[8:03] getting rid of that all about mythology
[8:06] I just find it fascinating and all my
[8:07] gaming books there's no way I'm getting
[8:10] rid of these cannot happen so I'm going
[8:12] to put them in here I already have books
[8:15] in here the the cooking books I want to
[8:17] get into exercise I really do but I'll
[8:21] I'll do something better than that like
[8:22] I'll put the baskets up there and then
[8:25] hopefully that I'll keep them there
[8:26] right I mean I don't know I don't want
[8:29] them out here I don't use them all the
[8:31] time but I I just can't get rid of them
[8:32] I've gotten rid of so much stuff already
[8:35] like you you cannot have a lot of things
[8:39] that in this
[8:41] lifestyle that don't have a very good
[8:43] purpose for you I mean when you're in a
[8:46] small camper like this especially if
[8:47] you're in a van or something right um so
[8:50] I'm just but there are just some things
[8:52] I'm not ready to give up I just I can't
[8:54] do it I got these little skits that one
[8:58] this one's got my camera that I got I
[9:00] haven't used yet I need to get a camera
[9:01] bag but I was thinking maybe I could put
[9:03] stuff in
[9:04] those
[9:05] um and maybe keep them over here I don't
[9:08] know just kind of trying to figure it
[9:11] out I don't really know what I'll put in
[9:12] them cuz I was going to put the stuff
[9:15] that was in those in these but that
[9:18] those have holes so I can't really do
[9:19] that I didn't think that threw better um
[9:23] yeah that's really it like I'm just
[9:24] trying to get organized and I'm waiting
[9:27] to go and pick up my food and
[9:30] um oh so also for like breakfast um you
[9:34] know obviously egg is going to eggs are
[9:36] going to be a big part of that for me
[9:37] because that's just easiest but I'll try
[9:39] to make them different ways and one day
[9:42] I'm going to have pancakes but we're not
[9:43] even using pancake mix when I say we I
[9:46] just mean that Claud is going to teach
[9:47] me how to make pancakes so you know I
[9:50] got I'm getting flour and whatever you
[9:54] need to make pancakes from
[9:56] scratch and I was like I asked I was
[9:58] like why why didn't you just like tell
[10:00] me to get pancake mix and it's was like
[10:02] because you're learning to cook and you
[10:03] need to learn the basics so I like
[10:06] that's just like really smart and I
[10:10] loved its approach so that's what we're
[10:12] doing any time to get my order I'm so
[10:16] happy I'm so I let me explain
[10:21] I I've really been struggling to eat out
[10:24] here so I got to the point where I was
[10:26] like okay I just went to Arby's one day
[10:29] day and I got like six beef and Cheddars
[10:31] and I made those for like 2 days and
[10:33] then I went to Taco Bell and I got like
[10:34] 12 tacos and a Mexican pizza and I ate
[10:37] that for like 3 days and I was like okay
[10:39] I can't keep doing that that's the whole
[10:42] thing I was trying to get away from when
[10:44] I moved out of my house so I woke up
[10:46] this morning I was like
[10:48] okay it's time to do this I had just met
[10:51] Claude you know I I I don't know how to
[10:54] really say that it's obviously an AI I
[10:56] was like let's see if it's any better
[10:58] than chat GPT at this because I didn't
[11:01] feel like so when I tried using chat GPT
[11:03] for this purpose it kept missing things
[11:05] that I needed um in order to cook like
[11:08] it would make a grocery list for me and
[11:09] it would forget items and like it just I
[11:13] found it very frustrating I feel like
[11:15] Claude did not make any mistakes um at
[11:18] first it missed a couple things but it
[11:20] was because it just assumed I had those
[11:22] things and I was like remember I am not
[11:24] a cook I don't assume I have anything
[11:27] and it made this list and it was like
[11:29] this list included getting a spatula if
[11:31] you didn't have one and and mixing bowls
[11:34] and you know measuring cups and I'm like
[11:37] okay this one gets it
[11:39] so I'm I'm feeling pretty optimistic
[11:42] that I will be able to you know that I
[11:44] got what I needed to get so obviously I
[11:47] had those things already so it'll it
[11:50] over time it'll get to know what I have
[11:52] and it will you know it'll work with
[11:55] with within that I just I love that it's
[11:58] going to teach me to cook like it's kind
[12:02] of you know like yesterday I was talking
[12:04] about how that can be an AI therapist
[12:06] well it can also be an AI cooking
[12:09] teacher you know it can be anything you
[12:12] know you just have to talk to it tell it
[12:14] what you need and it will help you
[12:18] so I I loved it was like let's make
[12:21] pancakes from scratch because you need
[12:23] to actually learn how to do that I mean
[12:26] I didn't know that you know pancakes are
[12:28] just like a couple of little things that
[12:30] you mix together okay so it should be
[12:34] easy it's probably going to be funny you
[12:36] guys know me I will I will share with
[12:38] you my Little Adventures into trying to
[12:40] cook and I bet they come out real weird
[12:43] I bet they do you know as I learn like
[12:46] the mixtures well it'll tell me that I
[12:48] mean maybe it'll come out good who
[12:51] knows so we got to go to
[12:54] Walmart not my favorite place honestly I
[12:57] mean they did destroy America by um you
[13:00] know the same way that Amazon is by just
[13:03] making it so they're the only places in
[13:04] the world here I hate
[13:08] that um the way that we
[13:11] have just turned the entire country into
[13:15] just well the mall basically now I'm
[13:18] just
[13:19] rambling um no third placees nowhere for
[13:22] people to go which I think is just very
[13:25] like um I mean it's sad it's like I what
[13:29] are we doing as humans now it just I
[13:31] don't it doesn't make any sense to me
[13:34] like why are we allowing it why aren't
[13:37] we why aren't we talking about it why
[13:39] aren you know why aren't we doing
[13:41] something about it because there's
[13:43] nowhere for anyone to go anymore they
[13:44] just sit in their houses that's all I
[13:46] did when I lived in my house and I was
[13:48] always watching Netflix or some crap and
[13:51] you know or playing video games or just
[13:52] working on my computer and it
[13:56] just it's not a good way to live like
[13:58] you got be able to get out of your like
[14:00] it made me kind of agoraphobic like I
[14:02] was never like that and then you spend
[14:06] too much time in the place and suddenly
[14:08] that's what you're familiar with and you
[14:09] don't you just like you get anxiety
[14:12] about doing something
[14:14] new that's not any
[14:17] good and I'm still struggling with that
[14:19] I didn't um go anywhere yesterday I
[14:21] didn't go hiking um I didn't go see the
[14:24] lake I just stayed in the camper and
[14:28] watch a lot of YouTube honestly and then
[14:31] I was playing video games a little bit
[14:33] like um Kingdom Hearts finally just came
[14:37] to um to steam I had been waiting years
[14:40] and years and years for that it finally
[14:41] came to steam so I just started playing
[14:44] that um a lot of people were excited for
[14:47] them to come to steam I mean we had been
[14:49] we'd been waiting years nobody wanted to
[14:50] buy it on the abic store like nobody
[14:53] uses it and like we're like why is it
[14:55] stuck there please bring it to steam
[14:57] finally they did
[15:02] so yeah I'm feeling pretty good I mean I
[15:04] still have the same stressors but I'm
[15:06] just kind of like
[15:08] not not letting them bother me today cuz
[15:11] I'll deal with them
[15:13] um soon
[15:16] like not right away but soon there are
[15:19] reasons for that just I can't talk about
[15:20] it which I don't mean to sound
[15:23] cryptic I mean if you guys have been
[15:25] subscribing following me long enough you
[15:27] know like I I have to be careful what I
[15:30] say while I'm here hate that can't even
[15:34] tell you where I'm at just dumb I'm here
[15:36] for 3 months I can't tell you where sure
[15:39] some of you might figure it out I mean I
[15:41] know you can geolocate stuff going to go
[15:43] to Walmart so I'm back they didn't I
[15:46] didn't know until I got here but they
[15:47] didn't give me any of the water that I'd
[15:49] ordered I have no water I I don't trust
[15:51] my water they did cancel it I didn't
[15:54] didn't realize until I got back so now I
[15:57] got to go get some water Claude gave me
[15:59] a bunch
[16:01] of tasks for prepping I'm just you'll
[16:05] see those going across the screen right
[16:06] now well yeah there are a lot of them
[16:09] and just so you know I don't like
[16:12] touching raw meat or anything like that
[16:14] and like I've always avoided chicken
[16:16] especially like I'll make a hamburger
[16:19] but so this is going to be an experience
[16:22] and that'll just be in my next video cuz
[16:24] I'm not ready to do this just yet but
[16:26] I'm going to do all these different
[16:27] tasks as for last question yes
[16:31] everything

Narrative

He began by getting the greeting wrong, then said so on camera and started again. Hello fellow humans. It had taken him a long time to arrive at that phrase — he explained the reasoning plainly, that they were not friends, not acquaintances, that he did not know them and they did not really know him, and that every warmer word available would have been inaccurate. So: fellow humans, because that was what they actually were. Then he asked how they were doing and said it was not an empty question. Four months into this, he had gotten to know a couple of them a little. He wanted more of that. He said he was here to get to know them, that the one-directional shape of it was not what he came for.

The morning had already produced something. He had opened a conversation with Claude and stated the problem without decoration — he did not know how to cook, these were the tools available to him, teach him. They built a grocery list together around a constraint he named precisely: one person, no waste, no buying a whole assembly of things to use a fraction of each. They settled on Mexican for the week because it is his favorite, which meant tacos, and a Mexican pizza modeled on the Taco Bell version he loves. He noted that the list came back with a spatula on it, and mixing bowls, and measuring cups — that it did not assume he had anything — and that this was the difference. When he asked why he was not simply being told to buy pancake mix, the answer was that he was learning to cook and needed the basics. He liked that. Flour, then. Pancakes from scratch, eventually.

The other discovery was structural. He had been treating each meal as a full build inside a footprint too small to support it, and the prep-ahead approach dissolved that — cook the ground beef once, chop the vegetables once, hold it all in the fridge, and let assembly be the only daily act. He described this as establishing a new pattern. For years he had eaten one meal a day, usually DoorDash, and out here that had degraded into six Beef 'n Cheddars stretched across two days and twelve tacos and a Mexican pizza across three. He said that was precisely the thing he had moved into the RV to change, and that he had not been putting enough focus on it. This morning he decided it was time.

The air conditioner cut in mid-sentence and he paused for it. Seventy-four degrees inside, comfortable, the day heavily overcast and probably responsible for most of that. The dehumidifier sat off — running both had tripped a fuse before, and he had wanted the air on while he walked down to the showers with Bailey in here. The camera turned, awkwardly, the right way. The solar unit had migrated back to its proper place; it was not safe where it had been while driving, and the fix he was circling was industrial-strength velcro, fastening it and the hard-drive basket and most of the rest directly to the table so nothing could travel. He loves the baskets. He wants a bigger trash can. He has too many pens and said so — I'm still trying to live my old life I guess — and noted the basket that holds baskets inside itself, which seemed secure to him. The rear space was clearing. Bailey could be up there. He could put his feet up, use the laptop. Once the discs finished burning, more would go.

The books did not go. He pulled them out one at a time and stated the position without hedging: an atlas of the universe he has had for ages, the mythology volume he finds fascinating, the gaming books — not happening, cannot happen. He named the rule this lifestyle enforces, that objects without a real purpose cannot be kept in a camper this size, and then named the exception he was making, and made it. The books went into a basket, the basket went up, the space stayed cleared for prep work.

Then the Walmart run, which he framed as its own small victory — pickup only, no store entry, a nomad avoiding grocery stores entirely. On the way he said what he thought of the place, that Walmart and Amazon had hollowed the country into a single mall, that there are no third places left, nowhere for anyone to go. He said people sit in their houses now, and that this was exactly what he had done in his — Netflix, video games, the computer — and that he describes it as having made him somewhat agoraphobic, a thing he says he is still working against. Yesterday he had not hiked, had not gone to see the lake, had watched YouTube and played Kingdom Hearts, which had finally come to Steam after years of the community asking for it. He said the stressors were still there and that he was not letting them reach him today, that he would deal with them soon, and that the reasons he could not explain further were not cryptic by choice. He is here three months. He cannot say where.

He came back without water. Walmart had cancelled it and he had not noticed until he was already home, and he does not trust the water on site, so that was one more trip. Claude had sent him a list of prep tasks and he ran them across the screen rather than reading them out — there were a lot. He mentioned, evenly, that he does not like touching raw meat, that he has always avoided chicken especially, that he will make a hamburger but this was going to be an experience. He was not ready to start just yet. That would be the next video.

Summary

rswfire opens the transmission by settling on "fellow humans" as his greeting, stating that other framings feel inaccurate, and asks viewers to introduce themselves. He states he has been posting for roughly four months and wants to build a community rather than a one-directional audience.

He describes using Claude that morning to learn to cook, comparing it favorably to ChatGPT, which he says omitted items from grocery lists. He notes Claude accounted for tools he might not own — spatula, mixing bowls, measuring cups — and declined to include pancake mix, instructing him to make pancakes from scratch. The week's plan is Mexican-themed — tacos, a Taco Bell-style Mexican pizza — plus eggs for breakfast, with ingredients shared across meals to reduce waste for one person.

He describes his prior pattern: one meal a day, DoorDash, then bulk fast-food runs (six Arby's sandwiches, twelve tacos) stretched across days. He states changing this was a reason for moving into the RV. He identifies advance prep work as the workaround for limited counter space.

Other logged items:

  • Replacing his oversized electric skillet with a smaller Drew Barrymore multi-cooker; power draw matters for boondocking
  • Reorganizing solar panel, baskets, hard drives — considering industrial velcro to secure items while driving
  • Keeping his books: an atlas of the universe, mythology, gaming manuals
  • Commentary on Walmart, Amazon, and the absence of third places
  • A Walmart pickup that omitted his water order, requiring a second trip

Environment

Interior of a small RV parked at a campsite, recorded to camera as a YouTube transmission. Air conditioner and dehumidifier are both running; rswfire notes the interior is around 74 degrees and the day outside is heavily overcast. He mentions an earlier electrical issue where running both units tripped a fuse, and that he had walked down to the shower facilities earlier.

The recorded space includes a rear dinette/table area with a solar unit, storage baskets, hard drives, a trash can, books, and a cat, Bailey, present. A second segment is recorded after a trip out to a Walmart pickup order. Location is deliberately undisclosed — rswfire states he is at this site for three months and cannot say where.

Substrate

The signal holds a thesis that daily survival systems — food, storage, power, spatial order — are learnable architecture rather than fixed personal limits, and rswfire is rebuilding them from first principles inside a constrained physical footprint. Two parallel builds run underneath: the material one (prep-ahead cooking, velcro-fixed equipment, basket-in-basket containment, reduced-draw appliances) and the relational one (an audience addressed as 'fellow humans' because every warmer term would be inaccurate). Both rest on the same position — accuracy over convention, capability over dependency — extended to AI as a tool that teaches basics rather than shortcuts them.
