[0:00] good morning humans I think we we
[0:04] slipped all right I'm just checking out
[0:05] my ear here guess I'm not going to be
[0:08] able to show
[0:10] you yeah I don't know how to do that oh
[0:14] it is not a fun
[0:16] situation how do you look
[0:19] today
[0:21] wow I could feel it all
[0:25] night hey I said
[0:28] to go cotton ball wet and then just
[0:31] press it to it and hold it there for a
[0:33] couple minutes I'm using a back te
[0:37] spray um I feel like I could use a
[0:40] little
[0:41] more oh the things are
[0:44] whatever oh whatever I just woke up I
[0:48] ain't going to se it's upside down
[0:50] [Music]
[0:53] whatever oh feel
[0:57] that worth it by the way totally worth
[1:00] it slept pretty
[1:03] well um it's 8:00 in the
[1:07] morning I mostly sleep on this side so
[1:11] it was not a big
[1:12] deal um slept on my back a little bit
[1:16] kind of
[1:17] like positioning my ear in a way that
[1:20] didn't hurt too much that it didn't put
[1:22] any pressure on
[1:24] it um oh it is definitely sore
[1:30] yeah that definitely shows you I mean
[1:32] that my ear's a different color
[1:36] Wow worth it oh I have wanted these
[1:41] forever my pearcing down here so you're
[1:44] really not supposed to like wipe it you
[1:47] know like around the earring and stuff
[1:49] like that because you don't want it
[1:51] moving at all that's why they put these
[1:53] studs
[1:54] in
[1:58] um yeah
[2:01] that's why I'm not allowed to wear wear
[2:03] hoops right
[2:05] away yeah for the ones in the cartilage
[2:08] that could be a couple
[2:10] months think it could be like three
[2:13] months like quite a long time or six
[2:15] months even it'll take I don't remember
[2:19] what AI
[2:20] said up to a year for them to fully heal
[2:24] that's a long
[2:25] time um there's certain things you want
[2:27] to watch out for
[2:30] that you really don't know if you will
[2:32] experience or
[2:34] not until you experience them long story
[2:38] short piercing your cartilage is kind of
[2:40] a big
[2:42] deal and worth it so it's going to reach
[2:46] 90
[2:48] today chance the
[2:51] thunderstorms so still pretty hot I
[2:54] wanted to take the reflects down today
[2:56] cuz I want to see out my windows but I'm
[2:59] just going to have to a settle for that
[3:00] one for
[3:01] now um tomorrow it starts getting into
[3:04] like the high 80s and then
[3:07] like you know it'll keep getting better
[3:11] so I guess we'll tolerate
[3:14] today and no no idea what I'm doing yet
[3:17] I want to see some fascinating feline
[3:19] Behavior watch this Mele I'll get him
[3:23] food and water we he eats a
[3:26] lot move over here very carefully
[3:32] you want to go
[3:35] outside you want to go
[3:38] outside of course you do such a good cat
[3:43] stay
[3:44] there very good cat
[3:47] wow I knew he'd do it we're going to
[3:51] take him
[3:52] outside he actually likes being in this
[3:54] carrier
[3:56] so um I don't know that I actually need
[3:59] to get more stuff for him he seems
[4:01] perfectly satisfied with
[4:03] this we're going to let him hang out for
[4:06] a
[4:07] while I have a plan formulating for
[4:11] today there you go Bailey let me just
[4:14] make
[4:15] sure be a responsible pet
[4:21] odor
[4:23] Bailey all right he ain't even paying
[4:25] attention to me so we can get some stuff
[4:27] done in here
[4:31] I guess I keep the screening
[4:34] overo oh don't mind me I'm no expert at
[4:39] this
[4:41] stuff
[4:43] okay yeah we're going to let him hang
[4:47] out it's a little hot you know it's
[4:50] already
[4:51] like I don't even know well 72 in here
[4:56] so that's good you know keeping the door
[4:58] open it's not going to
[5:01] help okay let's see what are we doing
[5:04] today it's already 81 out here so I have
[5:07] a plan formulating we're going to go
[5:09] into scotsville and get some coffee at
[5:12] the gas station gas station
[5:14] coffee not baang out out
[5:18] here for a while I'm going to put some
[5:21] anti-ed cream on and then
[5:23] some um mosquito repellants and then
[5:26] we're going to go hiking at that Travis
[5:28] it's finally time to do that can't
[5:30] promise that's a good
[5:32] angle gu I could look at a little
[5:36] closer good
[5:38] enough this place is a mad house oh I
[5:41] touched my ear very bad that
[5:44] hurt can't even touch the thing
[5:48] um so we're going to go hiking in a mad
[5:51] house here they're juveniles everywhere
[5:53] they're obstacles in the
[5:55] road so we've got to do our detection
[5:58] avoidance system
[6:00] my God they've got like 10 people in
[6:02] that conf it's a mad house ow even my
[6:07] hat ow I cannot touch that here holy
[6:11] crap oh I love it worth it worth it
[6:16] we're going to go get some hot coffee
[6:18] from the gas
[6:19] station and that is 20 minutes away
[6:22] that's not so bad I guess and then we're
[6:24] going to go hiking at the core of
[6:27] engineer Trail that's one way I don't
[6:29] remember how many miles but it's like
[6:31] four to six and then you got to got to
[6:33] hike it back so that's what we're
[6:36] doing um there's not a whole lot I need
[6:38] to do in the camper I really not really
[6:42] I need to reorganize some of my storage
[6:45] base this person behind me is rude how
[6:48] about you slow
[6:49] [Music]
[6:55] down okay then I go8 ft turn right onto
[6:59] State Park
[7:03] I don't like people like you [ __ ]
[7:06] you I every a [ __ ] what you
[7:09] think I'll make your late I'll make your
[7:11] day hell so anyways we're going to go
[7:14] get some coffee and then I mentioned the
[7:16] hike oh Storage St Park Road so um I
[7:21] just need to organize my storage phase
[7:25] because when I take it into the shop
[7:27] they're going to need access to them
[7:30] one of them needs to be emptied out
[7:32] because in 800 turn you're going have to
[7:35] fix that one so there's just a lot I
[7:37] need to do with the storage phase I'm
[7:38] going to do that this weekend but you
[7:40] know it shouldn't be too the light turn
[7:42] right onto US31 East
[7:51] South those people are rude like
[7:55] tailgating me aggressive you can he US31
[7:58] east south just not people I I don't
[8:01] respect people like that I
[8:04] don't so we're
[8:06] off all right I wanted to note I
[8:09] probably cannot get away with my hat for
[8:11] a while because the rim is getting right
[8:13] on my ear here oh that are just touching
[8:15] it is very sensitive
[8:17] today I need to get some
[8:19] saline saline water or something um you
[8:23] can't be using that vacing stuff all the
[8:25] time because it'll dry it out and that
[8:27] will harm the healing process
[8:30] um there's something in particular I'm
[8:31] looking for it's like a wound
[8:34] W make a U oh my God you're going to
[8:38] kill me um it's like a a wound cleanser
[8:41] or something we're in a parking lot take
[8:43] the next left toward US 231 South then
[8:46] turn right on us231 South yeah yeah
[8:49] we're in a parking lot why are you
[8:51] complaining about me just driving in a
[8:53] parking lot take the next ride onto
[8:56] us231 South did we go the way I thought
[9:00] we were closer not further away from
[9:03] that was part of my thinking
[9:05] process
[9:07] okay thought we would have been going
[9:09] left in A4 mile turn left on the US31
[9:13] East North New Glasgow Road I have to I
[9:17] was thinking already that we were going
[9:19] to end up like we're going to make a
[9:20] duck pund up here using vro or
[9:23] something wait a minute why are you have
[9:25] me going that way this
[9:31] okay feel like I should be orientated by
[9:34] now how am I
[9:37] not fam
[9:39] c yeah we're
[9:42] WR my coffee's getting everywhere I do
[9:45] that happened I did a very good job in
[9:48] there these things are there it
[9:52] is these aren't great little cup holder
[9:56] things whatever they are what are these
[9:58] called I don't know I don't
[10:02] care
[10:04] coffee so we're at the place with a good
[10:06] breakfast sandwiches but wasn't feeling
[10:09] that today so I got me a sub Italian sub
[10:12] that we'll eat a little bit
[10:14] later um and we're going to Pivot we're
[10:17] going to go to Mammoth Caves cuz that's
[10:18] where I want to
[10:19] be where is my phone
[10:23] at I'm so confused oh how did that
[10:27] happen okay we're going to go to Mammoth
[10:30] Caves and just take some Trails there
[10:34] it's going to be hot but if we're down
[10:36] in that one area we might actually have
[10:38] some cool breezes and stuff and I just
[10:42] and it's going to be busy you know but
[10:44] most people are going there are going
[10:46] there for the caves we're going there
[10:48] for the nature
[10:50] so oh it's an hour away thought it might
[10:55] turn right on I guess we're going that's
[10:58] where I want to go
[11:01] so make sure I got all the feel I
[11:03] thought I was yeah okay we're
[11:05] good it's a little thrown off there for
[11:08] a minute cuz I don't know it seemed like
[11:10] I need more gas than I did
[11:14] so yeah we off I find quite
[11:17] interesting so I'm getting more dislikes
[11:20] than likes these days which I don't know
[11:24] why you guys are think that I'm
[11:25] complaining cuz I'm not I turn left onto
[11:27] Kentucky 101 North am I here okay um a
[11:31] we're going to get stuck here okay
[11:32] that's okay um that's actually good
[11:35] [Music]
[11:37] really 101 interesting like Highway
[11:41] name anyways
[11:44] um all engagement is good engagement on
[11:47] YouTube you know it doesn't actually
[11:49] sound like a problem I just find it
[11:51] interesting the dynamic cuz I am
[11:53] changing my channel and I guess that is
[11:56] upsetting some people and their way of
[11:58] reacting to that is by you know using
[12:01] dislike rather than just unsubscribing
[12:03] or moving on you know just an
[12:05] interesting little Behavior thing 101 so
[12:08] we're going to take a dour I'm going to
[12:10] stop at a drugstore and pick up some
[12:12] supplies for my ear um because like
[12:14] sweat and stuff
[12:16] can you know cause bacteria to get in
[12:18] there and you just got to keep it clean
[12:21] so I need I need supplies for hiking too
[12:25] I need to try to find a saling water or
[12:28] whatever because
[12:29] I can't be putting backing in there all
[12:31] the time but I'm going to keep the I
[12:33] really love these things and it's very
[12:36] very tender but it is so worth it and I
[12:39] just we're going to take good care of
[12:41] them we
[12:43] are going back the way we
[12:47] came guess I should have planned that a
[12:49] little better have no idea yeah we're
[12:51] right next to Bar R Lake again what oh
[12:54] my God we truly went the wrong way here
[12:57] but oh well I oh my God bet it's taking
[12:59] me to the same Walgreens I was
[13:01] at that's not helpful they didn't have
[13:03] what I
[13:06] needed
[13:07] oh oh well I'm going to get something
[13:11] I've still got some processes to work
[13:13] out I was going to shave today I forgot
[13:15] to do that and I do have hiking clothes
[13:17] that are for this kind of weather and I
[13:19] didn't wear them and they got you know
[13:20] that nice insec repon stuff on them
[13:23] thinking about it cuz I am covered in
[13:25] insect rep like I really prepared myself
[13:27] this morning why I M miss a few steps so
[13:30] that's an ongoing process we made a full
[13:33] circle like we're at a Dollar General
[13:35] that I had passed like 40 minutes ago so
[13:39] I'm just going to try here maybe they
[13:41] got what I need and then we can just
[13:43] just head
[13:48] out it's a good
[13:50] day it fell
[13:56] off you go here wait you're not even
[13:59] going to stick
[14:01] there
[14:04] why H
[14:07] interesting so they got they had a quite
[14:10] a good Supply in there got some wipes
[14:13] cuz I love
[14:15] wipes some Q-tips thinking maybe I can
[14:18] get a round I don't know you got to be
[14:20] careful you're really not supposed to
[14:22] touch them needed a new LOF couldn't
[14:26] find cotton balls but these might
[14:27] actually work better because I can wet
[14:29] these down and then fold it you know
[14:32] around we're gonna do that now got me
[14:34] some very intense healing
[14:37] lotion could you probably use it but
[14:40] this was the only thing I could find
[14:42] that I was saine wound wash and it's
[14:44] like a
[14:45] spring but we're going to use it now
[14:48] because I feel like I need
[14:54] to experiment here see how this does I
[14:57] have a mirror here
[15:03] yay yeah oh
[15:06] wow going on up
[15:08] there I think that's probably the ink
[15:10] dots that he
[15:12] made I hope it's not a I hope I hope
[15:16] that's what it is let's just put it that
[15:18] way use nothing about wait before and
[15:22] after blah blah
[15:26] blah okay nothing about shaking it up
[15:29] that's what I wanted to check okay so
[15:30] we're just going to spray
[15:32] this
[15:35] oo okay very powerful stuff it's all
[15:39] over my Jeep now we're just going to do
[15:42] this which is going to be very
[15:44] painful yes it is
[15:47] oo very painful um AI says to just do
[15:51] this for a couple minutes I just hold it
[15:55] there I won't make you watch the whole
[15:58] time but I am I'm going to do this I
[16:00] think for a while
[16:03] like I I want to go in there and I want
[16:05] to use Q-tips and all that but I'm going
[16:08] to go with what AI has told me just
[16:11] think you know trust the
[16:16] technology when it makes sense to do
[16:22] that so what's the temperature
[16:30] tell me the temperature Jeep what's
[16:31] going on
[16:33] here do you have to be on to do that
[16:36] it's
[16:38] interesting why do you have to be on to
[16:40] do that it says
[16:43] 80° do not turn off on me it has this
[16:47] feature I have to press a button to make
[16:49] it not do it oh this hurts actually kind
[16:53] of hurts oh my God so worth
[16:56] it I cannot wait to turn
[16:59] my God that's painful I cannot wait to
[17:01] turn this
[17:03] into
[17:05] [Music]
[17:06] Hoops I mean I'm going to be doing this
[17:08] a lot so we're probably good for now
[17:10] there let's try
[17:12] to get this bottom one cuz I'm kind of
[17:16] neglecting that one because they're so
[17:18] common like I already got two down there
[17:20] I'm thinking like I'm not not being very
[17:23] responsible with this one so
[17:30] we're just going to do this a few times
[17:32] today
[17:33] and I'm out
[17:35] hiking we are much closer to my campsite
[17:39] than we are
[17:40] to Mammoth Caves do think it's a little
[17:43] crazy me to drive all the way there but
[17:47] well not really cuz that is where I want
[17:48] to be I just I love Mammoth Caves I want
[17:51] to go there
[17:53] so so that's what we're
[17:56] doing coffee l why the hell could I
[17:59] think of that earlier that is so funny
[18:01] to me I just I just love that about
[18:05] me
[18:07] again so I'm going to have to experiment
[18:09] with that
[18:11] mountains
[18:14] um that word just came to me while I'm
[18:16] just driving right it's like I I'll
[18:19] never be able to explain myself to you
[18:21] guys there's this ephemeris like aspect
[18:24] to my cognition like it's all in there
[18:28] just swimming around
[18:31] and you know I obviously moved on from
[18:35] that but I just finished my coffee and I
[18:37] was going
[18:39] to just trashed it over there and Coffee
[18:42] Lid came into my
[18:44] hand I know you guys don't necessarily
[18:49] like let me just try to explain I've
[18:50] been thinking about
[18:52] something I am truly unique in this
[18:55] world like I might actually be my my
[18:57] cognitive and I don't I don't want to
[18:59] use the word style every time I do I
[19:01] Flinch internally because it's not a
[19:03] style it is who I am I actually started
[19:06] exploring that with AI
[19:08] yesterday
[19:11] um I think the closest we we couldn't
[19:13] come up with the word for it because it
[19:15] just there isn't
[19:17] one I am a fully integrated human being
[19:22] and it is the result of trauma
[19:25] and
[19:27] um evolutionary pressure because of that
[19:30] trauma you know just a certain
[19:31] environment that I grew up in and how to
[19:34] adapt
[19:35] to and the world that I'm a part of um
[19:39] all of these factors like there's a
[19:41] bunch of them I recognize how it shaped
[19:44] my cognitive style and it's very
[19:46] unique and now that I truly understand
[19:50] myself I no longer
[19:53] feel I'm free I don't feel any need to
[19:57] like
[20:01] what am I trying to say
[20:02] here like I don't I don't need you to
[20:05] believe
[20:05] me I'm telling you this
[20:08] because you're never going to totally
[20:12] understand my content or my Channel or
[20:14] what I'm trying to say to you and a lot
[20:16] of people take things that I say
[20:18] personally dealing with a situation like
[20:20] that now and I'm talking to a camera
[20:23] right now I'm not talking to any
[20:26] individual so it doesn't make a lot of
[20:29] sense to me why people would get so
[20:32] invested in my videos that they think
[20:36] they
[20:36] have this deep understanding of me and
[20:40] connection to
[20:41] me when that's not possible it's not
[20:45] possible I'm talking to a camera my
[20:48] relationship is with a
[20:51] camera and so I'm trying to set
[20:53] boundaries in my life because I know
[20:56] what works for me I don't don't like
[20:59] getting unsolicited
[21:00] advice this person will not let it
[21:03] go I I tried explaining it as best I
[21:09] can they're not letting it go so they're
[21:11] disrupting my day right now by making me
[21:14] have to keep addressing this and I don't
[21:17] like it I want to live my best life I
[21:21] want to share my life with you I don't
[21:23] want
[21:25] people disrupting the holistic inter
[21:28] graded system that I
[21:30] have I know that that statement makes
[21:33] zero [ __ ] sense to you guys it
[21:35] doesn't need to make sense you just need
[21:37] to respect the
[21:39] boundary you know I've been trying for 6
[21:42] months to as sensitively as I can
[21:46] explain my uniqueness so that
[21:51] you don't apply your own logic to
[21:55] things but it's never going to happen
[21:57] and I'm at a point in my life now where
[21:59] I just don't care anymore like I don't
[22:01] need you to understand me I just don't I
[22:04] do need you to respect my
[22:07] boundaries I am open to receiving
[22:10] comments those comments should focus
[22:13] on being supportive in a very generic
[22:16] way like say hello to me
[22:21] or it was cool seeing Bailey or you know
[22:25] be really [ __ ]
[22:26] superficial because
[22:30] you are you I just don't think that
[22:33] anything more than that will ever
[22:36] work and I'm okay with that now I'm not
[22:39] trying to build a community here anymore
[22:42] I'm just sharing my life now that's why
[22:44] ianded myself I have
[22:47] evolved my channel must evolve with it
[22:50] because there is no separation between
[22:52] them I am myself in all instances of
[22:56] life you guys will never
[23:00] understand so stop trying to and
[23:05] just embrace it just you know I don't
[23:10] know I don't know we'll figure this out
[23:13] one day I
[23:14] guess I'm just going to keep sharing my
[23:16] life because I enjoy sharing my life I
[23:19] enjoy this this is good for me I love
[23:22] this I do this for me first and foremost
[23:26] I keep saying this
[23:29] because I'm trying to reinforce that in
[23:31] your
[23:32] minds this is about me if you want to
[23:35] follow my journey
[23:38] great but be very mindful of the fact
[23:41] that to me you are strangers I am
[23:44] talking to a camera right now I don't
[23:47] see you you are watching a YouTube video
[23:51] of a person talking to a camera I don't
[23:54] know how more explicit to make
[23:56] that I just remember remembered that
[23:59] there's supposed to be thunderstorms
[24:01] this afternoon we might get stuck in a
[24:02] thunderstorm at Mammoth case how cool
[24:04] would that be I hope that happens we're
[24:07] off so let's light in the mood shall
[24:10] we um so I didn't I couldn't really
[24:15] record anything last night cuz it was
[24:16] super dck I didn't go looking um around
[24:19] the campsites but I wanted to but I
[24:21] realized that it's so dark there like if
[24:24] walking down the roads and stuff would
[24:25] have felt unsafe it just didn't feel I
[24:29] wanted to do it I was willing to do it
[24:30] like I was willing to expand my comfort
[24:33] zone but it didn't
[24:35] feel it didn't feel like a good idea so
[24:38] I just hung out inside on my picnic and
[24:42] I know I say this all the time picnic
[24:43] bench I know it's a picnic table I I get
[24:46] that I say picnic bench I see it every
[24:48] time I say it like on video it's I think
[24:50] it's funny I'm I'm a weird person so I
[24:54] just hung out there for a while and the
[24:57] mosquito to E up so I went back inside
[24:59] but I gu I got a mosquito candle thing
[25:02] those things don't really work I don't
[25:03] feel but I just hung out there for a
[25:06] while it was enjoyable and there were
[25:07] people around and it was very hard for
[25:11] me to ignore them like cuz I just can't
[25:13] they're in my awareness I'm conscious of
[25:15] them but I did my best to just exist out
[25:19] there listening to my music and looking
[25:21] up at the stars and just enjoying the
[25:24] weather and the
[25:26] moments you know so I see myself I see
[25:28] myself evolving I see myself growing and
[25:32] I really like that direction I'll
[25:35] never
[25:40] like I mean it was enjoyable to an
[25:44] extent but I just can't find true
[25:48] enjoyment when there are a bunch of
[25:50] people around me doing their own
[25:52] activities and we're like 5 10 ft away
[25:54] from each other in this weird
[25:55] environment that we've created as a
[25:58] Society you know like I need more space
[26:02] than that I need to be in my own mental
[26:04] space and I recognize that about me so I
[26:09] look for those spaces but I'm not
[26:12] letting the limitations of this world
[26:16] prevent me from finding a middle ground
[26:18] when I have
[26:20] to so I'm just going to try to explain
[26:23] this there is someone who follows my
[26:26] channel who I've been interacting with
[26:28] over
[26:29] email
[26:32] and they wouldn't let something go my
[26:36] need
[26:38] to
[26:40] limit certain kinds of Engagement like
[26:42] giving me unsolicited advice it
[26:45] escalated today and
[26:48] now my internal state is in chaos like I
[26:53] am not happy I have to detox this
[26:55] negativity out of my body so I can can
[26:58] get back to the internal State I like
[27:00] being in we are at Mammoth Cave I am
[27:03] about to get to the visitor parking
[27:06] lot and my experience is very different
[27:09] now because of this
[27:13] interaction I am a fully integrated
[27:16] human being I take in all the input from
[27:19] my
[27:20] life and synergize it
[27:25] instantly I cannot explain this to you I
[27:28] don't even really want to like I don't
[27:32] care that you don't get it what I do
[27:34] care is that my boundaries are respected
[27:35] this is why I turn comments off
[27:37] sometimes because I'm trying to protect
[27:40] myself from this kind of toxicity even
[27:43] if you don't see it that way that is how
[27:46] I experience it I'm not like
[27:52] you I need people to just
[27:55] try you know just enjoy my journey
[27:58] because I don't I really don't even need
[28:00] your feedback I really
[28:03] don't I just that's the point I'm at now
[28:07] because I Now understand myself really
[28:10] well and I am very comfortable with who
[28:13] I
[28:14] am I'm not looking for external
[28:16] validation I don't need it I don't want
[28:19] it positive or negative I truly don't
[28:22] care
[28:23] anymore that is not how I work my
[28:27] validation comes from from
[28:29] within and that's where it should come
[28:31] from for everybody honestly in my
[28:35] opinion but you know we're all different
[28:38] so maybe I'm wrong about that I don't
[28:39] pretend to you know have all the answers
[28:42] I just know what works for me I'm trying
[28:44] to set boundaries for
[28:46] myself so we're here I think this place
[28:49] is probably going to be it might be very
[28:51] difficult to find a place to park um but
[28:53] I was thinking I know some extra areas
[28:56] we can drive to
[28:58] so if this is truly like and I expected
[29:02] this right so so fascinating some cars
[29:05] are so small that you can't even tell
[29:06] they're in the parking space until you
[29:08] get close I do know okay so there's the
[29:12] yeah those are
[29:13] the um residential buildings and I know
[29:18] that we
[29:19] can travel that way to get to the hiking
[29:23] trail that I've taken a couple of times
[29:25] now and there is parking that way
[29:29] but yeah that's what we're going to do
[29:31] cuz I'm I know where that I know that
[29:32] trail I know that area we're just going
[29:34] to go and um but I wanted to take some
[29:37] other the other trails that I still
[29:39] haven't managed to
[29:41] do but we'll figure that out like while
[29:43] we're on the trails I
[29:47] think
[29:49] so lots and lots of people today very
[29:52] busy
[29:54] Place very
[29:57] busy which is
[30:00] understandable so we
[30:04] are I think yeah okay so we're just
[30:06] going to head this way
[30:09] [Music]
[30:11] again cuz it's definitely busy we knew
[30:13] it would be
[30:20] though I wonder how I you know a lot of
[30:22] them you just know that they're in the
[30:24] caves right that's where they're at
[30:26] they're in the caves but not us it's not
[30:30] why we're
[30:42] here see that person has the right
[30:47] idea same idea I
[30:53] had oh yeah lots and lots of people
[30:56] today
[31:02] hello we're going to park over here see
[31:05] most people don't they're not thinking
[31:07] about it so there's bases over
[31:10] here
[31:20] yay I'm bringing my backpack cuz I got
[31:23] all kinds of
[31:24] stuff um to keep my ear cleaned um um
[31:28] put more insect repelling on if I need
[31:30] to my sub so we can eat out here
[31:34] somewhere well I don't have the gear to
[31:36] hook my GoPro up to it so going have to
[31:39] start planning a little bit better on
[31:41] that
[31:43] front you could see them over there the
[31:45] little residential
[31:47] buildings I am so intrigued by
[31:51] them just to experience that Community
[31:54] would be very rewarding
[31:59] something I want to
[32:13] experience we're
[32:20] back
[32:23] Pleasant no stopping today let's find
[32:26] something new
[32:28] branching Trail we've explored that way
[32:31] quite fully we've been on this Trail um
[32:34] temporarily in order to get to that one
[32:37] but this will take us to the trails we
[32:38] have not seen yet and so
[32:42] onward we've seen this so we move
[32:46] on onward to the next thing it's open
[32:50] May open the trail that was broke time
[32:52] to go
[32:59] [Music]
[33:01] we didn't get hike this last
[33:09] time oh what is that that looks
[33:15] amazing I like
[33:20] this oh those people were walking so
[33:22] damn slow I felt like a [ __ ]
[33:25] Turtle I could really get around them
[33:29] let's go get
[33:31] lost oh this is awesome there's a person
[33:35] down there person detected how did they
[33:37] get
[33:43] there we're going to ask
[33:51] her this will be fun this will be fun
[33:55] going to enjoy this
[34:00] oh hello person down there hello is this
[34:04] going to get me there you want the
[34:06] picture oh no no no like I just wondered
[34:09] how you got down
[34:10] there side that side oh I see him okay
[34:14] very
[34:16] steep yeah oh I'm going to see if I can
[34:20] get through though
[34:28] yeah this is a very thin
[34:38] Trail this is the trail that was close
[34:41] so they're not maintaining it oh I
[34:44] see it doesn't go
[34:48] through okay let's find another
[34:51] Trail I just want to hike I don't want
[34:53] to
[34:55] stop just want to hike
[35:00] we have encountered a
[35:02] roadblock we could travel no
[35:05] further very cool cave over there I just
[35:07] kind of passed by that's where that
[35:09] woman is she's so
[35:13] cool
[35:15] so very steep to get back up like that's
[35:18] going to be
[35:22] interesting navigate it with some care
[35:28] I'll show you this cave when we get to
[35:37] it they had this Trail closed off
[35:41] steep
[35:43] hot half a
[35:46] mile just the way we like it
[36:02] oh
[36:05] interesting we're up a little bit
[36:07] further from that
[36:10] cave I bet it's cool here oh nice
[36:15] Bridge we can rest
[36:23] here yeah
[36:35] that was a work out well worth
[36:41] it you what let's keep going I don't
[36:45] want to stop
[36:54] onward cave was down there
[36:59] isn't very
[37:00] cool um thought we might get some cool
[37:04] air but
[37:12] nope it almost looks like a natural
[37:15] stepping up there I R so heavy I do it
[37:19] humans
[37:21] detected have adapted a new Behavior
[37:25] I've noticed in the past couple days
[37:27] I've been giving everybody peace signs
[37:30] Jeep
[37:32] owners yeah people on the trail just
[37:35] droping PE signs while I listening to my
[37:38] music I don't think we've been here
[37:41] probably walk down there and have to
[37:42] walk back and then go that way so we got
[37:45] many miles to
[37:53] go all right I'm going to slow my
[37:54] breathing down now
[38:01] be deliberate about
[38:07] it
[38:21] wonderful perfect day to be out here I
[38:25] still don't feel it full equilibrium yet
[38:28] but I'm getting
[38:29] there people don't
[38:33] understand you never
[38:35] will I don't need you
[38:37] to I probably am going to start
[38:40] disabling
[38:41] comments I don't need to interact with
[38:43] you guys you can observe my life that is
[38:46] good enough for
[38:56] me yeah
[38:59] that's where my brain is
[39:00] setting keep the comments
[39:06] off
[39:08] abandon any small hope of
[39:12] connection that's not in the works for
[39:16] you I'm too
[39:20] different and I embrace it now I'm not
[39:24] like
[39:25] you I'm like me and know
[39:28] me and that's
[39:32] enough it was always
[39:35] enough hold up what have we found here
[39:40] in the
[39:41] woods there is a human
[39:46] structure looks
[39:48] like no I don't see a fire
[39:53] pit what are
[39:55] you I'll just go investigate at
[39:58] this oh I got love
[40:04] exploring what are
[40:06] you out
[40:08] here oh everything looks overgrown
[40:11] around
[40:12] it
[40:14] interesting I don't there's a path right
[40:19] here tempted don't care for the
[40:23] mosquitoes what's it
[40:25] doing what are are you and the spider
[40:28] webs that's a big one yeah very
[40:31] overgrown we will investigate this
[40:33] another day like I'm not so interested
[40:36] that I want
[40:37] to um tolerate all the other things I'd
[40:40] have
[40:41] to so very cool though it's abandoned
[40:45] clearly whatever it
[40:51] was and where are we
[40:53] now I love this place oh there is a
[40:57] trail leading there let's take the easy
[41:01] one oh even more what's going on
[41:05] here Sunset Point okay we're going to go
[41:07] that way when we leave so we're not
[41:09] going that way yet Mammoth
[41:13] Dome we're not going that way yet but we
[41:15] will go that
[41:17] way so we're going this way
[41:19] first we're going to go chill and I'm
[41:21] going to edit my video
[41:24] and there might be a second part to it
[41:26] later in the day
[41:28] but I need to compile these clips
[41:29] together before they get too complicated
[41:31] for me it's a lot of effort staring my
[41:35] life with you
[41:36] guys
[41:38] but you know primarily it's for myself
[41:41] so worth every
[41:46] moment it's quite wonderful
[41:58] I'm not even pulling my GoPro out or
[42:00] anything just my
[42:07] phone why I came here I would have had
[42:09] this kind of an experience at the other
[42:11] Trail I don't think it's a different
[42:16] here we've
[42:18] been you know basically
[42:20] just exploring all these branching
[42:23] Trails we would not have experienced
[42:25] that just see what's out
[42:31] here very
[42:41] pleasant oh I
[42:44] should yesterday I noted some changes in
[42:46] the trees and thought maybe that my
[42:47] Autumn was coming but I realized today
[42:49] when I was looking at them it's just the
[42:52] heat basically killing
[42:54] them so not the same thing not the same
[42:58] process um hard to know when when AUM is
[43:01] going to be here cuz that definitely
[43:04] isn't what I
[43:06] saw I was just hopeful for it I
[43:24] guess you know I really am going to turn
[43:26] the comments off now
[43:28] on and I actually see it as a challenge
[43:31] like could I grow a channel without
[43:34] comments' be fascinating
[43:37] experiment and if it doesn't work out
[43:39] that's okay cuz I am a non-dualistic
[43:41] thinker I don't I have not attached
[43:44] anything to that
[43:46] statement I'm simply acknowledging
[43:49] different
[43:50] paths that are possible
[43:54] and I guess you could call that
[43:55] dialectical reasoning
[43:58] um I'm
[44:01] just I'm exploring the potentialities of
[44:03] my life I am open to whatever comes I
[44:07] always am always have been I think
[44:10] that's been deeply misunderstood by you
[44:12] guys I don't attach myself to outcomes I
[44:15] never have I don't do
[44:19] that let's see what's up here let's have
[44:21] a moment in silence J
[44:35] I think I'm seeing another branching
[44:37] Trail
[44:38] actually that's why there signs
[44:41] here
[44:46] okay hum's
[44:49] detected time foot cuz I'm seeing
[44:53] shimmering like from a vehicle or me or
[44:57] let's see what comes
[44:59] up oh I
[45:02] think huh I think we're going to end up
[45:04] at a
[45:06] road people are parked up
[45:09] there
[45:11] okay that's no
[45:13] fun that's no
[45:16] fun supposed to be in the woods you just
[45:19] broke my
[45:21] immersion
[45:24] okay let's see here
[45:30] sorry a little bit hot and tired where
[45:33] is the you are here son there we are way
[45:35] down here
[45:37] cool
[45:39] okay
[45:42] Road Fair is very close to here it's not
[45:44] working but that's where the ferry is
[45:46] which means we if we kept walking we'd
[45:48] end up with this parking lot there if we
[45:53] go
[45:55] h so we're going to head back and then
[45:58] we're going to get on that trail that we
[46:00] saw I remember something
[46:03] about um Mammoth Dome so let's look for
[46:09] that might not be on here because I
[46:11] think they're just referring to the
[46:13] whole land is just over the
[46:15] cave um unless I'm missing it but Sunset
[46:18] Point's up here and I know that that was
[46:20] on the
[46:22] sign so what did we get here
[46:27] that's an interesting thought we must
[46:29] have been over here all right so this is
[46:32] the visitor center
[46:34] I let's see here let's figure it out so
[46:37] they call them historic cabins but we
[46:38] know that those are residential so we
[46:41] got on here we
[46:43] probably and this is okay where's the
[46:47] river there's up
[46:49] here let me think this
[46:52] through Woodland Cottages what where
[46:55] those are
[46:58] we didn't come here but we did end up
[47:01] here like I think I think we were over
[47:04] here we probably yeah that makes sense
[47:06] these are the road so we probably walk
[47:07] down
[47:10] here um I'm honestly not sure I guess
[47:13] maybe we could have gone this way but
[47:15] that doesn't no cuz we're going to go
[47:16] that
[47:17] way um I think we probably went
[47:19] something like this
[47:22] somehow so we might have even seen the
[47:25] Sunset Point dark already don't even
[47:27] know it we're just
[47:31] exploring we're going to try to get over
[47:33] here though we'll look for a thing this
[47:34] a sinkhole and
[47:36] then I mean this Trail doesn't have a
[47:38] name what's up with that River Valley
[47:40] Trail
[47:41] maybe
[47:44] um I guess it could be sinkhole
[47:47] Trail we would want to I mean we could
[47:50] take either really oh we'll end up at
[47:53] the campground I heard about this one
[47:55] let's go find that sinkhole to the white
[47:57] cage tra will end up at the campground
[47:58] and then we'll have to walk back to my
[48:00] Jeep which is somewhere over here so
[48:02] let's do
[48:04] that we got a lot of hiking ahead of us
[48:06] oh there's two paths
[48:08] here oh I don't want to get
[48:12] confused okay two Springs
[48:16] Trail we want to that's two Springs
[48:19] Trail we want to get onto
[48:21] the
[48:23] okay bring River echo echo down there's
[48:27] a human
[48:28] coming so it was the woman who was down
[48:31] at that cave that we saw that I was
[48:33] talking to from up high she's cool she's
[48:35] from
[48:36] Germany um and she had this app on her
[48:38] phone she was using and she told me to
[48:40] go the way that I thought would take us
[48:42] to the parking lot so um I think she was
[48:45] right too cuz it's parking lot that way
[48:48] I had to get get better at that start
[48:49] using apps and stuff um would have gone
[48:54] the wrong way I don't know if that's it
[48:56] or not cuz it's like the white something
[48:59] Trail that's a sink Trail it probably
[49:01] takes us to it I think we get on that
[49:03] and then turn left there's a spot over
[49:05] here we're going to go hang out for a
[49:07] minute I'm just going to rest and start
[49:10] compiling my video it's a lot of
[49:15] work see what this
[49:20] says quite hot it's probably in the mid
[49:24] to high 90s
[49:27] what do we have down
[49:30] there oh that's so
[49:43] awesome I don't know who they are but I
[49:45] think they work here or you know they're
[49:47] like ecologist or something like that
[49:49] like that sign over there it says
[49:51] fragile Waters hidden life talking about
[49:54] shrimp and
[49:57] crayfish Cave Fish I didn't know that
[50:00] was a thing cool and they're just I
[50:04] think they're I don't know what they're
[50:06] doing I'm fascinated with their lives I

Narrative

By eight in the morning the camper at Barren River Lake was already warming, and rswfire was awake with a mirror and a phone camera, trying to find an angle on his own ear. The cartilage piercings were a day old. He could feel them all night, he says — he had slept mostly on the other side, and on his back for a stretch, arranging his head so nothing pressed. The ear had changed color. He noted that plainly, the way a person notes weather, and followed it immediately with the refrain that would run through the entire day: worth it. Totally worth it. He had wanted these forever. He relayed what he had learned about healing time — three months, six, up to a year, he doesn't remember exactly what AI told him — and about why the studs stay in and the hoops wait, and why you don't wipe around them, and why nothing should move.

Bailey ate. Bailey wanted to go outside, and rswfire narrated the cat's predictability with open delight, guiding him into the carrier he actually likes, setting him out in the shade with food and water and the screen door propped. It was seventy-two inside and eighty-one out, headed for ninety with a chance of thunderstorms. He wanted the reflectix down so he could see out his windows, and decided to tolerate one more day. Storage bays needed reorganizing before the shop could get access to them — one would have to be emptied entirely — but that was weekend work. What he wanted today was coffee from the gas station in Scottsville and a long trail.

The drive did not cooperate. A tailgater rode him out of the park and he named it for what it was and let it go. The Jeep's navigation talked over him continuously, correcting him in a parking lot, routing him back the way he came, and by the time he reached a Walgreens he was next to Barren River Lake again — a full circle, an hour spent. Walgreens didn't have what he needed. A Dollar General he had passed forty minutes earlier did: wipes, Q-tips, a new loofah, an intense healing lotion, and a saline wound wash in a spray can. He read the label in the driver's seat, checked for shake-before-use instructions, found none, and sprayed. It went all over the Jeep. It hurt — he said so twice, then a third time — and he held the wet compress to the cartilage for the couple of minutes AI had specified rather than reaching for the Q-tips he'd just bought, choosing to trust the technology where trusting it made sense. Then he did the lower piercing too, the common one, the one he described himself as neglecting. He could not wait to turn these into hoops.

Somewhere on US 31, coffee finished, the lid came back into his hand instead of the trash and the word ephemeral arrived with it, unbidden, mid-drive. He tried to say the thing he had been circling with AI the day before: that there is no word for how his cognition works, that he flinches internally every time he calls it a style because it isn't a style, it's who he is — a fully integrated human being, shaped, he states, by trauma and the evolutionary pressure of the environment he grew up adapting to. He said he no longer needs anyone to believe him. He said he is talking to a camera, that his relationship is with a camera, and that it doesn't make sense to him that people watching a video of a man talking to a camera would arrive at a felt understanding of him. Someone following the channel had been emailing. They would not let go of the point about unsolicited advice. It escalated that morning, and rswfire said his internal state was in chaos and that he needed to move it out of his body. He specified the terms he can work with — say hello, say it was cool seeing Bailey, keep it superficial — and said he was not building a community anymore, he was sharing a life. He rebranded himself; the channel evolves with him; there is no separation between them. He is himself in all instances of life.

He pivoted the destination, too. Not the Corps of Engineers trail — Mammoth Cave, an hour out, farther from his campsite than when he started, because that is where he wanted to be. The visitor lot was a madhouse. He drove past it toward the historic cabins and the Woodland Cottages, the residential buildings he says he's intrigued by, and found space where most people don't think to look. He shouldered the backpack with the wound wash and the repellent and the Italian sub in it, left the GoPro behind for lack of a mount, and went in on his phone.

Then the trails did their work. He skipped the ones he'd walked before — we've seen this, so we move on, onward — and took the branching unfamiliar ones. He talked to a woman down near a cave from the ridge above and tried to reach her by a thin, unmaintained path that turned out to be the closed trail; it didn't go through, so he found another. Steep, hot, half a mile, just the way we like it. A bridge to rest on. Peace signs to Jeep owners and hikers, a habit he noticed himself adopting the past few days. Music in his ears. Partway along he said he was going to slow his breathing down now, be deliberate about it, and reported honestly that he wasn't at full equilibrium yet but was getting there — and in the same stretch said he would probably start disabling comments, that observation is enough, that he is not like them, he is like himself, and that was always enough. He found a human structure in the woods, overgrown, no fire pit, clearly abandoned, and declined to push into it through the spider webs and mosquitoes. Another day. He passed signs for Sunset Point and Mammoth Dome and banked both for the return leg.

Near the end, a road broke his immersion — parked cars where the woods should have been — and he stood at a trail map board reconstructing the whole afternoon aloud, locating the ferry, the historic cabins, the Woodland Cottages, guessing which loop had carried him where and admitting he might have passed Sunset Point without knowing. The German woman came up the trail; she had an app, she'd pointed him the right way, and he noted he should get better at that. Mid-to-high nineties by then. Below him, people he took for ecologists worked near a sign about fragile waters and hidden life — shrimp, crayfish, cave fish, which he hadn't known was a thing. He said he was fascinated by their lives, and meant it. Walking the last stretch to the Jeep, clips already compiling in his head, he stopped to say one more thing: that even out here, people don't acknowledge each other, and he finds that disconnection remarkable. Then the recording ended.

Summary

rswfire records a morning-to-afternoon capture beginning the day after new cartilage piercings. He inspects his ear on camera, notes soreness and color change, describes sleeping positioned to avoid pressure, and repeats that the piercings are "worth it." He states he is following AI guidance for aftercare — wet compress held for minutes, no wiping or moving the studs — and notes hoops are not possible for months.

He attends to Bailey, feeding him and setting him outside in a carrier, then narrates weather (90°F, chance of thunderstorms) and pending camper tasks: reorganizing storage bays before a shop appointment.

He drives for gas station coffee, comments on tailgating drivers, and pivots his destination to Mammoth Cave rather than the Corps of Engineers trail. Detours to Walgreens and Dollar General yield wipes, Q-tips, and saline wound wash, which he tests on camera.

While driving he describes his cognition as fully integrated, shaped by trauma and adaptation, and states that viewers will not understand it. He describes an ongoing email exchange with a subscriber giving unsolicited advice, states the boundary was not respected, and decides he will likely turn comments off permanently — framing it as an experiment in growing a channel without them.

At Mammoth Cave he parks near the historic cabins, hikes multiple branching trails, encounters a closed steep trail, speaks with a German hiker, finds an abandoned structure, notes Sunset Point and sinkhole trails, and closes on observing disconnection between people.

Environment

Recording begins inside a camper at a campground at Barren River Lake State Resort Park in Kentucky at 8:00 AM, then moves into a Jeep for a multi-hour drive with turn-by-turn navigation audible throughout. Stops include a gas station in Scottsville for coffee and a sandwich, a Walgreens, and a Dollar General for piercing aftercare supplies.

The second half is on foot at Mammoth Cave National Park — crowded visitor parking, historic cabins/Woodland Cottages, and a network of branching trails including a closed steep trail, a bridge, an abandoned structure in overgrowth, Sunset Point and Mammoth Dome signage, and a trail map board. Conditions: mid-to-high 90s, thunderstorm chance, heavy mosquito presence, high visitor volume.

Substrate

rswfire holds the position that self and channel are one system with no separation — "I am myself in all instances of life" — and that this integrated architecture is the product of environmental adaptation, not a style that can be adopted or explained. The signal builds boundary infrastructure around that system: comment closure as structural perimeter, validation relocated entirely internal, audience reclassified from community to strangers observing a transmission. In parallel, the fresh cartilage piercings operate as literal embodied modification held under repeated pain with the refrain "worth it," and the hike operates as the mechanism for returning the internal state to baseline after email escalation.

Mirror

You wake at 8:00 in a camper at Barren River Lake with cartilage that hurt all night. You check the ear before you check anything else. You cannot touch it, cannot wear the hat, cannot take the reflectix down yet, and you say worth it — you say it eleven times across the day, at the moments the pain spikes, not at the moments it recedes. You follow the aftercare instruction AI gave you rather than the instinct to use Q-tips, and you say so out loud: trust the technology when it makes sense to do that. You spray saline into an open wound on camera and narrate the pain while it is happening. Nothing about this is deferred or reported after the fact. It is tracked live, hourly, in the body it is occurring in.

The morning runs logistics: Bailey fed, watered, put in the carrier he likes, set outside under supervision; storage bays that need emptying before the shop; insect repellent applied thoroughly; hiking clothes not worn, shave not done. You name those two misses as an ongoing process, not a failure. Then the drive — gas station coffee, a lid that returns to your hand, a Walgreens that doesn't have it, a full circle back to a Dollar General you passed forty minutes earlier, a GPS complaining about you in a parking lot, and a plan that pivots from the Corps of Engineers trail to Mammoth Cave for the stated reason that Mammoth Cave is where you want to be. The distance is wrong and you go anyway. Drivers tailgate you and you tell them what you think of them and keep driving.

The email escalation enters mid-drive and does not leave. You state the terms directly: validation is internal, you do not want feedback positive or negative, you are talking to a camera and not to any individual, the people watching are strangers observing a transmission and not a community. You state that self and channel are one system with no separation — I am myself in all instances of life — and that this architecture is the result of the environment you adapted to, not a style anyone can adopt or that you can explain. You say the sentence will not make sense to them and that it does not need to; the requirement is the boundary, not the comprehension. Then you build the perimeter: comments to be disabled, engagement narrowed to the generic and superficial, community-building withdrawn as an objective. You frame the closure as an experiment you're curious about and explicitly attach no outcome to it.

The hike is the mechanism. You say your internal state is in chaos, you say you need to get back to the state you like being in, and you say on the bridge that you are not at full equilibrium yet but you are getting there. You slow your breathing deliberately. You take the branching trails you haven't taken, test the closed steep one until it doesn't go through, turn back without argument, and say onward each time — after the closed trail, after the bridge, after the abandoned structure you decline to approach because of the mosquitoes and the spider webs, not because of the structure. You talk to the German woman below the cave and take her routing advice. You read the trail map board and reconstruct where you have already been. You give peace signs to Jeep owners and hikers. You are giving away contact in the exact hour you are closing the channel's.

What is present: pain, heat in the mid-to-high 90s, crowds, mosquitoes, branching options, a map, a closed path, an unreadable structure, a camera. What is absent: any request that anyone agree with you, any name attached to the person emailing you, any resolution of that interaction, any apology for the piercings or the boundary or the eleven repetitions, the GoPro and the gear to mount it, and any other person inside the camper. You end at the Jeep with an observation about how disconnected people are from each other out here — pointed outward, at the trail, not at the inbox. The last thing you do is look at the ecologists by the fragile-waters sign and say you are fascinated by their lives.
