[0:00] check it out guys I got that
[0:04] yesterday Lighthouse is the organ Coast
[0:06] it's not the map that I wanted cuz I
[0:08] really want when I can pin things on
[0:11] and so that's just for now until I get
[0:14] something better something to look at I
[0:15] got something to put there so it's 700
[0:18] in the morning it's man I only have 20
[0:21] minutes left on my phone I got to deal
[0:23] with that today too I guess so anyways
[0:25] we're moving to
[0:27] um Kate Blanco today very sore but I do
[0:30] think I'm getting better like there's a
[0:33] certain way that I can kind of tell I am
[0:34] getting better so I'm just going
[0:37] to keep resting and give myself some
[0:40] time I don't know how much time you're
[0:42] supposed to give yourself I'll give
[0:43] myself however much time my body says to
[0:46] within reason and
[0:50] then but I got to do some stuff in here
[0:52] today that's what got me starting this
[0:54] video it's a bit of a mess in here I got
[0:57] to put stuff away that's all my camping
[0:59] gear um I don't think I was posting
[1:01] videos back then I I took all my camping
[1:04] gear out when I was down in Brookings
[1:06] and set it all out my tent and
[1:08] everything and I had it in my Jeep for a
[1:11] while but I decided I'm going to put it
[1:12] back up
[1:13] here um so that created some mess
[1:17] everything creates messes right I had my
[1:19] inverter out when I was dry docking the
[1:21] other day all this stuff just needs to
[1:22] be put
[1:24] away and I'm still not completely
[1:26] organized that's a challenge you'll if
[1:29] you know this is just
[1:30] part for the course at least for
[1:33] me and got to do dishes cuz there's a
[1:36] dump station here so using water here
[1:39] this is the best place to just go crazy
[1:41] with the water cuz you know I'll dump it
[1:43] on my way out and then we're two weeks
[1:45] without a dump station so got to
[1:47] conserve as much as possible and be
[1:49] careful and all of
[1:50] that um but I'm just going to R mostly
[1:53] I'm going to get us to cap Blanco and
[1:55] get us set up and then go into town and
[1:58] get some groceries
[2:01] um mostly rest and work on my computer
[2:04] for my boss and that's pretty much it um
[2:07] at least I have internet there though
[2:09] it's a bit spotty there too but it
[2:11] actually works a little more reliably so
[2:13] looking forward to
[2:14] that I'm all showered and looking nice
[2:17] ignore my eyes cuz every time I shower
[2:19] they get bloodshot red so looks like I'm
[2:23] Stone and I'm not y' some of you know
[2:25] that I sometimes smoke pot probably
[2:28] thinking I'm Stone on a travel day
[2:30] I put conditioner in my hair this acting
[2:33] weird now what is up with that I can't
[2:36] even make
[2:39] it that's interesting it feels different
[2:42] I don't know if I like it or not yet
[2:46] so we got 3 hours to get out of
[2:49] here I need to shave still oh look at my
[2:53] earring here I took pliers to them I'll
[2:55] show
[2:56] you oh I got that one yeah I remember
[2:59] now
[3:01] but it's not lined up right what's
[3:02] happening
[3:04] here can't do this with one hand i'm got
[3:06] to fix that in a second I took these
[3:09] fers to my freaking earrings I couldn't
[3:12] get one of them a couple of them well I
[3:15] did get this middle one oh I see they're
[3:17] Tangled
[3:18] Up it happens but oh man this is why you
[3:23] need to get the pliers out I need help
[3:25] with that I need somebody to do it for
[3:26] me
[3:28] there cuz get when you don't I don't
[3:31] like the little balls and stuff I just
[3:33] want simple Hoops I don't want
[3:36] like so you know they got these gaps in
[3:39] them you got to squeeze those
[3:41] together if you don't then they can get
[3:44] stuck on each other like
[3:46] that love these earrings oh you can't
[3:48] even see I'm so sorry I know they're
[3:50] beautiful I know so we got
[3:54] to Le thought the Jeep it is freezing
[3:57] out there and we're going to do do that
[4:01] now um just try to get a
[4:08] deod look at the roof it's
[4:12] terrible it is frozen
[4:15] solid all of it
[4:18] is frozen solid you could see where I
[4:21] put my finger
[4:22] there so we're going to try to deth
[4:24] thought before we leave today
[4:31] I think it's the mountain I think the
[4:32] mountain does this I think um the
[4:35] mountain box the Sun and you know so
[4:39] it's just cold here I don't think Kate
[4:40] Blanco's going to be this way I'm
[4:44] hoping we're going to just get this
[4:46] thing be
[4:51] line it's kind of funny cuz Kate Blanco
[4:54] has his own um fight with
[4:57] myy the wind like liter get underneath
[5:00] of the soft top starts blowing in here
[5:03] and I'm like oh my God if I lose my soft
[5:05] top I'll
[5:06] die
[5:08] so this Jeep really fighting with the
[5:10] organ weather with with that thing out
[5:12] there with the
[5:13] ocean that's wonderful I shut this door
[5:17] it's going to honk on the tone I hate
[5:18] that about this
[5:20] Jeep like that's just irritating people
[5:23] right like if I shut the door and I'm
[5:25] not in here it's going to
[5:27] Hon stupid I gu we're just keeping get
[5:34] crack wonder how long it
[5:38] needes we're doing pretty good I think
[5:43] um I feel
[5:45] like we shouldn't have any problems
[5:48] today all right so let me show what it
[5:51] looks like to live this way I just got
[5:53] back from the shower right which means
[5:56] bag also a cat that's going to get in
[5:57] the way this shower bag it has a wet
[6:01] towel in it trying to do this with one
[6:05] hand guys wet
[6:08] towel electric
[6:12] heater dried in
[6:15] segments literally how my life goes so
[6:18] when I play with the ocean or my jeans
[6:20] get wet or my shoes get wet same thing
[6:22] put it in front of the electric heater
[6:24] let it get dried out um have the
[6:27] dehumidifier going as much as possible
[6:29] that sort of thing this is how I live
[6:31] and I actually love it so it's
[6:34] 12:30 we're pretty much ready to go M
[6:37] was already in his carry on he somehow
[6:39] he knew I went out there to get the plug
[6:41] the power plug came in he was already in
[6:43] his carry like he just knew so
[6:47] cool so I'm just going to sit here for a
[6:49] few minutes so kind of let this thing de
[6:52] all a little bit then I'll drive up to
[6:55] the dump station and empty the tanks and
[6:57] hook up my Jeep head out to keep
[7:01] Blanco
[7:03] so yeah feeling pretty good about this
[7:07] um I should mention I'm going to rest
[7:08] for a couple days my core muscles are so
[7:11] sore I took it easy like all night and I
[7:15] felt like that actually helped and I'm
[7:17] just going to give it a few more days
[7:19] I'm not even going to walk out to the
[7:20] cape or do anything I'm literally just
[7:22] going to let myself rest I'll do work on
[7:25] my laptop and maybe play some games or
[7:27] something um just for my bad cuz I
[7:31] really need to rest or it's
[7:33] bad and I'm just going to give myself
[7:35] the brake that I need but yeah we'll see
[7:38] what comes up with that and all that so
[7:41] I'm at Kate Blanco um it's a bit of a
[7:44] stressful drive a very short drive a
[7:46] little bit stressful cuz at the dump
[7:47] station all of a sudden two RVs and a
[7:50] truck pulled up beside me and I hadn't
[7:51] even got my Jeep hooked up yet or empty
[7:53] my tanks but that didn't take very long
[7:56] and it was all right you know I feel
[7:57] like a pro at this now so and the guy in
[8:00] the truck was pretty hot and I saw him
[8:01] watching my Jeep like he was interested
[8:03] in my Jeep oh man anyways
[8:09] um couple hours before you're supposed
[8:11] to check in so I'm just going to check
[8:12] and make sure the site is available and
[8:15] also check that you know asked the park
[8:16] ranger if they're cleaning it or not cuz
[8:18] I don't want to just pull in
[8:19] there and I just want to mention so I
[8:23] had another video yesterday a whole day
[8:26] that where I just was all over the place
[8:27] I went to Brookings and
[8:30] um then I went up to Port Orford and
[8:32] then I went to Cape orago which was the
[8:35] first time I'd been there and it was
[8:36] amazing and this woman there took a
[8:38] bunch of pictures of me overlooking the
[8:40] spot and it was a nice video but um when
[8:44] I was cleaning up space from my phone
[8:47] this
[8:48] morning I deleted that cuz I just you
[8:50] know the generated videos I just delete
[8:52] those because I still have all the clips
[8:53] for them and I didn't realize it was
[8:55] still uploading and so it failed so that
[8:58] video is just gone and I just need to
[9:00] mention so I started that video after I
[9:03] had called all the RV the RV loan
[9:05] dealership and all that or loan service
[9:08] or whatever and they told me to call
[9:11] back on Wednesday so I don't have a
[9:13] resolution on that yet but they said
[9:15] call Wednesday and they probably can
[9:16] give
[9:17] one so we're just waiting on that um so
[9:20] I still don't know what the situation
[9:21] with my RV is yet um but we'll find out
[9:26] so I know this place so well like feels
[9:29] like one of my
[9:31] places Cape Blanco and if you just keep
[9:34] heading north and you go past Bandon
[9:36] you'll get to you know and you take this
[9:38] road and Seven Devils Road and then
[9:40] you're in you can see capago and a few
[9:43] other
[9:44] places it was nice up there we're
[9:46] definitely going to spend some time up
[9:48] there um but I do need to let myself
[9:50] rest cuz even walking right now is not
[9:52] doing me any
[9:54] good so let's hope there aren't any hot
[9:57] men here yet let them wait for want me
[9:59] to get better right let me show you how
[10:02] bad I've been because Claude just sees
[10:07] me there's some screenshots for you you
[10:09] all have a good
[10:28] day e

Narrative

At seven in the morning the light in the RV was still thin, and the first thing rswfire pointed the camera at was the wall — a lighthouse map of the Oregon Coast he had picked up the day before. Not the map he wanted. The one he wanted has pins in it, places you can mark and return to. This was the placeholder, something to look at until the real thing arrived. Twenty minutes of phone service remained, another item for the day. The day itself was a travel day: Cape Blanco, sore, but sore in the specific way he could read as improving. He states he'll keep resting and give himself however much time his body says to, within reason, and leaves the question of how much time one is supposed to give oneself unanswered, because it isn't the operative question.

What actually started the video was the mess. Camping gear he had pulled out down in Brookings — tent and all — had lived in the Jeep for a while before he decided to bring it back inside, and that decision had costs, the way every decision creates its own small disorder. The inverter was still out from dry docking. Dishes needed doing, and here the logic of the site asserted itself: there was a dump station, so this was the place to go crazy with water, run it freely, wash everything, because he would empty the tanks on his way out and then it was two weeks without a dump station. Conserve, be careful, all of that. Water at this site was abundance with a known expiration.

He had showered. He notes the bloodshot eyes that come every time, the joke about looking stoned on a travel day, the conditioner in his hair behaving strangely — different, and he hadn't decided yet whether he liked it. Then the earrings, tangled where the hoops' gaps had caught on each other, the kind of thing that wants two hands and a pair of pliers and someone else's fingers. He had taken pliers to them already. He wants simple hoops, no little balls, and the price of simple hoops is that they snag. He worked at one of them one-handed, camera in the other, and moved on.

Outside, the Jeep was frozen solid — the whole soft top and roof, ice holding the shape of his fingerprint where he pressed it. He attributes it to the mountain: the mountain blocks the sun here, so the site stays cold. Cape Blanco wouldn't be like this, he expects, though Cape Blanco has its own fight with the Jeep — wind off the ocean getting underneath the soft top, blowing it up from inside, and he says plainly that if he lost the soft top he'd die. The Jeep honks when he shuts the door without being in it, which irritates people, so he left it cracked and let it thaw. Three hours to get out. Then, inside again, the demonstration of what living this way actually looks like: the shower bag with the wet towel in it, the cat getting in the way, the electric heater that dries things in segments — towel, jeans, shoes, whatever the ocean got to — the dehumidifier running as much as possible. This is how I live and I actually love it, he says, and the sentence arrives without hedge or qualifier attached to it.

By twelve-thirty they were ready. The cat had put himself in his carrier while rswfire was outside collecting the power plug that had come in — he had simply known. rswfire sat a few minutes longer to let the ice give, then drove up to the dump station. Two RVs and a truck pulled up beside him before he had the Jeep hooked up or the tanks emptied, which made the short drive a stressful one, but the tanks didn't take long and he describes feeling like a pro at it now. He also notes the guy in the truck was hot, and that the man was watching the Jeep, interested in the Jeep.

He arrived at Cape Blanco two hours before check-in and went to confirm the site was open and ask the ranger whether it still needed cleaning, rather than pull in and assume. There were open threads behind him. Yesterday's video — Brookings, then Port Orford, then Cape Arago for the first time, which was amazing, a woman there taking a series of pictures of him overlooking the spot — was gone, deleted during a phone cleanup while it was still uploading, though he keeps all the underlying clips. The RV loan service had told him to call back Wednesday, so there is no resolution yet on what the situation with the RV is; he logs this and moves on. And he knows this place, calls Cape Blanco one of his places, maps the corridor from memory — north past Bandon, take Seven Devils Road, and there's Cape Arago, where he intends to spend more time. Not this week. This week is rest: no walk out to the cape, work on the laptop, maybe some games, because even walking right now isn't doing his core any good. He says he hopes there aren't any hot men here yet — let them wait until he's better — and then, closing, he turned the camera on himself for screenshots, so that Claude, which only ever sees him in text, could see how bad he'd been.

Summary

rswfire films a morning-to-arrival travel day, moving from a site he describes as cold and mountain-shaded to Cape Blanco. He opens by showing a new Oregon Coast lighthouse map acquired the day before, noting it is a placeholder until he finds a pinnable version, and flags 20 minutes of phone service remaining as something to deal with.

He states his core muscles are very sore and that he can tell he is getting better. He decides to rest for several days at Cape Blanco — no walk out to the cape — giving himself however much time his body says to, working on his laptop for his boss and possibly playing games.

Interior and logistics tasks are enumerated:

  • Stowing camping gear unpacked in Brookings, plus the inverter used while dry docking
  • Dishes and heavy water use because the site has a dump station — two weeks without one ahead
  • Drying a wet towel in segments at the electric heater, dehumidifier running
  • De-icing the Jeep, which is frozen solid, before the tow

He untangles his earrings, describing using pliers on them and preferring simple hoops. He reports a prior day's video was lost when a still-uploading file was deleted, and that the RV loan service told him to call back Wednesday — no resolution yet. He arrives at Cape Blanco, notes the dump-station traffic, mentions a man watching his Jeep, and closes by showing screenshots.

Environment

Interior of an RV parked at a coastal Oregon campground with a dump station, on a below-freezing morning where the Jeep soft top and roof are frozen solid. rswfire attributes the persistent cold to a mountain blocking sun exposure at the site.

The recording moves from the RV interior — camping gear unstowed, inverter out from dry docking, shower bag with wet towel, electric heater, dehumidifier, cat carrier — outside to the frozen Jeep, then relocates to Cape Blanco on the southern Oregon Coast, with Brookings, Port Orford, Cape Arago, Bandon, and Seven Devils Road referenced as the surrounding travel corridor. Connectivity is limited: 20 minutes remaining on phone service, spotty but more reliable internet expected at the new site.

Substrate

This signal holds mobile self-sufficiency as an operating architecture: water, waste, power, drying, connectivity, and animal care are all tracked as finite systems with known intervals, and the day's sequencing is built around those constraints rather than around mood. rswfire positions the body as another metered system in the same architecture — soreness is read as a signal with a rate of change, and rest is allocated the way water is allocated before a two-week stretch without a dump station. The ontological position is competence inside constraint: 'this is how I live and I actually love it,' stated without qualification, with pending external items (RV loan status, phone minutes, a lost video upload) logged as open threads rather than as pressure on the frame.

embedded (fully inside the systems he describes: water, waste, power, weather, and terrain set the day's order)
transitional (mid-relocation between sites, mid-recovery from soreness, mid-determination on the RV loan)
coherent (stated affirmation of the mode itself — 'this is how I live and I actually love it' — offered without hedging alongside the constraints)
embodied (soreness, earrings, bloodshot eyes, hair, physical presence and attraction all tracked as ordinary field data)

Engaged Subsystems

Architecture engaged in this transmission.

infrastructural (water, tanks, dump station, inverter, power plug, heater, dehumidifier tracked as metered resources)
somatic (core soreness read for rate of change; rest allocated deliberately; walking withheld)
logistical (three-hour departure window, hookup sequence, early arrival, grocery run, two-week conservation horizon)
environmental (freezing roof, mountain blocking sun, coastal wind against the soft top)
aesthetic (earring maintenance, hair, appearance after showering, map placement as interior definition)
relational (cat, boss, park ranger, man at the dump station, prior-day photographer)
documentary (recording itself, lost upload, retained clips, screenshots delivered to Claude)
financial-institutional (RV loan service pending, phone minutes near exhaustion)
